Default My mate shaves his beard.

My friend has had a full beard since he was 16. It proved beyond any shadow of a doubt his manliness, but yesterday he made the heart-wrenching decision to remove his person of all face fungus. Bear in mind that few of his friends had seen him without a full beard - certainly nobody he knows at university, and not too many from school either. He did it for a mask party he went to last night simply for the joke of wearing a papier maché beard and revealing a clean-shaven face to his unsuspecting friends. Which is awesome. Doing anything for the sake of a joke, even if it only amuses you, is a great way to live your life.

As we go to the same university, he came over to my halls so that I could supervise the operation. Of course, we couldn't just take it off at once. That would be a waste. If beards only have one purpose, it's to provide a canvas for amusing shapes on one's face.

Thus commences the delicate procedure of creating humour through hair:

Sam, plus beard. A good chunk of hair to get rid of.

I'd like to make it clear that he used a ladies' razor. So what if he got it free somewhere? It's still woman apparatus. Tsk.

This is a hilarious thread. I think so because I'm lazy and I shave on average about once every two weeks, and whenever I do and I have some time to mess around, I do different styles along the way. The Hitler is definitely the best, though I wouldn't go out with it. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

^ Not as odd as 16 year old girls with a full beard.

I alternate between beards and hair to nothing (right now, for example, my head is fully shaved).

It's hair...it grows back quickly (what I have left of it) images/smilies/smile.gif

But it can be shocking for some folks!

This is definitely the best look here. If I could grow facial hair I would rock this all the time. (Or a Fu Manchu, since being Asian means that my friends expect me to have one, of course.)

The Sheriff is badass, he'll look like the angry guy from American Chopper, meaning he has taste and style. And images/smilies/lmao.gif at the Hitler! Nice goose step.

By the way, how old is your mate? He looks like he lost 5 years shaving that thing off.

I don't have pictures of my experience, just look at Greta van Susteren. I'm sure she has a beard that she shaves before going on air.

He's 19, but his beard was that full three years ago. It's quite weird to see him without it again.

I'm stuck in between - I grow sideburns and hair under my chin really quickly but not on my face, so it just looks crap if I don't shave often. I wish I could grow a proper beard, it'd be so rad. Forget doing the Hitler for fun - I'd be bringing it back as a fashion accessory.
