OMGOSH BEAR!!!
A buddy of mine is at http://www.whistlerbike.com/index.htm. He was just eating lunch and look what crawled over to see what was going on! I was up their last year and remember seeing alot of bears but none actually in the village. That's Canada for you

Bears are pretty benign unless threatened. Or if it is a female with cubs. Thats when you back the fuck away, and never never NEVER turn your back to it.

Yeah, I was at skicamp at Blackcomb last year, and there were a couple of instances of bears raiding the trashcans of our hotel, or coming towards the base of the mountains. I once saw a bear like 15 feet from me at the base of blackcomb.
