Every year there's an event called Relay for Life and it's basically a big fundraiser for cancer research. Different organizations make up teams and every year there's a different theme event and this year it was the Miss Relay contest where we went around collecting donations from people. There were nine other contestants and I ended up seventh having raised $90 which is a lot more than I was expecting to. As for why I did it, well my friend's wife lost a couple relatives to cancer and she makes a big deal of the event every year and nobody else was willing to step up to the plate. It was sort of fun in a messed up kinda way.
