We've reserved around 6000€ total for the trip, so that's 3000€ per person. That should cover random shopping and partying too. Some extra cash is reserved for emergency situations. Not included are car services, I'll get my car fully checked before the trip and after the trip I think new set of tires are needed. Total cost will depend a lot from accommodation, if you want to get hotel for every night 3000€ will run short, but if you're ready to sleep in a tent that amount will do just fine.

I'm still a student too, but when considering all the cool things I get to see during the trip, I'm more than happy to work my ass off during weekends to get money for this. images/smilies/smile.gif

Has anyone got info about Nürburgring, in the official website it states following:

Friday, 27.06.08 16:15 until 19:30 h
Touristenfahrten, 27.06.2008
(Nordschleife)
Saturday, 28.06.08 09:15 until 19:30 h
Touristenfahrten, 28.06.2008
(Nordschleife)
Sunday, 29.06.08 09:15 until 19:30 h
Touristenfahrten, 29.06.2008
(Nordschleife)

Does that mean that for example on Friday it is open for everyone between 16:15 and 19:30? Damn my German is good... images/smilies/tongue.gif

Yes, that's correct!

I just realized you want to visit lake Garda, therefore my suggestion for the route is pretty useless!

First of all I envy you for the grat journey you will be about to make this summer. Congrats!!! images/smilies/wink.gif

About the Spanish part of your journey. The Pamplona bull runs are something you have to see to believe. I haven't personally taken part in any of the runs because I care too much about my life images/smilies/lol.gif But are a big recommendation.

But I give you a reccomendation: don't spend so many days in pamplona an try to visit Barcelona and the Catalan coast. Barcelona it's a truly beautiful city which you shouldn't miss. Plenty of really interesting visits (the Gaudí buildings have to be seen to be believed) and really nice weather. Also in the Catalan Coast there are plenty of interesting places to visit. Big recommendations are "Empúries" where there are some really nice greek ruins, and anywere in the "Costa brava" is worth it.

Pamplona and San sebastian are two really beautiful cities (specially San Sebastian and its beach) but the weather there is usualy grey and it rains quite a lot (even in summer). So you wouldn't be able to enjoy the place so much.

Visitng the places I told you about woldn't take you far from the initial route to Pamplona. You'd only have to take the autoroute from marseille and instead heading to Toulouse and the Pyrenees just take the E-15 heading to la "Jonquera".

Anyways it's just another option. Great trip! Congrats!!! images/smilies/wink.gif

Germany, pft, go to the original in Denmark images/smilies/biggrin.gif The price might be high but all the rides are free and it is really fun. I might be biased though images/smilies/tongue.gif

And continuing in the WWII theme, there are alot of german bunkers all along the westcoast of Denmark, many of them is open and one (or 2) has been turned into a museum. Let me know if you're interested, I'll dig up the location of some nice ones.

Thanks for the info, I need to check the Catalan coast more in-depth. From Italy to Pamplona there's a week or so time, so maybe, instead of spending that time in Southern France, for couple of days we head to see those Spanish beaches. Thanks for compliments, this trip will be great!

I visited Danish Legoland about 14 years ago, back then it was really great but I think nowadays I'm more interested in playing with cars, motorbikes, good beer/wine and girls. images/smilies/biggrin.gif

mgkdk, those bunkers sound good! That Atlantic Wall Germans built is highly interesting for me, and I would love to see those bunkers. On a way back the schedule is pretty much open, so in case there's couple of days to spend, Western coast of Denmark would be great. If it's not too much trouble, those locations would be helpful.

I think I need to take couple of photos during the trip for FinalGear.com to thank for these tips, any suggestions? Write forum name on the sand of Omaha Beach? images/smilies/smile.gif

If anyone has any kind of tips, please keep them coming!

If your visiting around Munich please put tips for things to see around there. (other than Dachau/Deutsches Museum/BMW Welt) I'm probably going there in late August.

Hyvät matkat! images/smilies/smile.gif

Check out this museum for some of your bunker needs, you should also just go for a walk along the beach there or practically most of west coast (I know there is also some around Ringkøbing).

Thanks! Those bunkers look very cool, good they haven't destroyed them after the war.

Plan for the trip is now pretty much planned, instead of southern France, we will head for eastern Spain and spend some time there. I will give some updates / photos after the journey, if I survive the Pamplona run. images/smilies/biggrin.gif Funny, those five weeks seems to be too short to explore all the places, unfortunately we need to skip some locations.

Everyone, THANK YOU for all these tips! Of course, if you have anything, and I mean ANYTHING, to add, please share them!

h-p, Kiitos! images/smilies/smile.gif I'll keep my eyes open in Munich, I'll let you know for anything interesting around there. What kind of trip you're planning?

I'm going there for a week or so, three people total. By plane. images/smilies/wink.gif
Of course anyone from Germany (or anywhere else for that matter) can suggest too.
