That's correct. I'm sure there are automotive engineering degrees here, but it's not very common. Probably explains things about our cars.

Munich is the only university of those that makes it into the Engineering Top50 by the Times , also Munich is the largest city of those, so the decision should be easy.

I'm fairly familiar with UVA. My sister lives and teaches Anthropology there. The town is very beautiful as is the campus. I believe it was designed by Thomas Jefferson, correct me if I'm wrong. Also, his (Thomas Jefferson) house is just outside the city, Monticello. Which is a pretty neat thing to visit. There are lot's of college-y things to do in town. Lots of food and restaurants and a good nightlife I think. My sister is OK there but she likes REALLY big cities (Chicago, New York, San Francisco) where there are about limitless things to do. I can't speak to the quality/type of engineering program there is there however. I was semi-interested in UVA back when I was applying to schools but never got into any serious research.

As far as automotive engineering goes, I know Colorado State University has an automotive engineering program. They are located in Fort Collins, CO which is home to lots and lots of local breweries images/smilies/biggrin.gif Including New Belgium, a personal favorite of mine. I've never been to Fort Collins, but I have been to Colorado Springs which is probaly 1 1/2 hrs-2hrs south of Fort Collins. Colorado Springs is awesome, which is home to Pikes Peak and of course...this:

Which of course is of interest to someone in automotive engineering images/smilies/biggrin.gif
