same here, but don't even think it'll do the same to you as alcohol does, if you're introvert, and you smoke you'll get more introvert.

cannabis tends to increase a feeling, not change one, so when you're happy, and you smoke, you'll feel more happy, but if you're down, and you smoke, you'll feel even more down

when i started, i used to go to friends, smoke some weed, and just sit there all night, without saying a word, just observing everything.

and "you wanne try it", trying it 1 time gives a total false image imho, after my first time i didn't feel a bit, while others overreacted over it. you should be doing it for a while before you can say you like it or not, if it has a positive effect on you or not

So bone how much do you smoke per week? It must cost you quite a bit of cash.

during the week, i don't smoke over the day (work and all), but the evening, get together with some friends and smoke 1 or 2 (ok, most of the time 2). while in the weekend, it can go anywhere from 3-10/day. first one is after dinner though, don't wait for the evening

money? not realy sure, never calculated it, but i think it'll be around 50€/week

if you count like that, it's a lot money, but i've never been low on cash, and i don't realy understand how it comes.

(unlike my brothers, who don't smoke, but go out and get drunk, they never have any money left - and they get as much as i did when i was their age)

apparently, being high all week is cheaper then getting drunk in the weekend

I have a group of friends that i don't really hang out with other than to smoke, i see it more as a way to relax after a hard day and nothing is better than 4 people sitting around playing Dead Rising baked off their asses (Good times ensues) If i had to count i guess i smoke 2 times a week, mostly on Weekends but it happens on Weekdays too.

.. Hmm funny stoner moments.

Overheard one night: "I CAN FEEL MY EARS HEARING!"

Spending a good half hour debating how Spongebob breathes underwater.

Trying to make a ham sammich once, i got the bread out, forgot why i was there, walked back in the living room, got hungry went back got the bread and ham out, phone rang and forgot about the sammich.
20min later i got hungry again so i went back into the kitchen and was astounded over the half finished ham sammich on the table.

Yeah I've had experiences like that where I have totally forgotten things I did minutes prior. One time the smoke alarm came on in my building (smoke was on a different floor) and I got scared and hid my pot... long story short, it took me a looong time to find it after the alarm had shut up.

You never hear of a dad getting high and beating up his wife and kids, but drunk guys do it all the time.

Pot has an image problem because it's illegal. It cures migraines, anxiety disorders, helps depression. (It can also cause the same stuff in different people, though...) AIDS and cancer patients use it as a painkiller, and to keep up their appetites so they don't starve to death. I don't have AIDS or cancer, but I was scary thin before I started smoking, like, 6'3" 135. Now I'm fine. And for anything it can cure instead of using brain-altering pharmaceuticals, and causing weird "may cause anal leakage" side effects, I say pot's the better choice. Better enough to make you go beneath the law for it, instead of getting pills through your health plan.

Alcohol's a fun time I guess, but kind of limited. Cigarettes are just stupid, and even if you smoke you've got to admit it. But weed's major side effect is that it makes the right parts of you feel like a kid again. A fresh episode of TG is twice as good, scenery looks better, jokes are funnier, you're better at video games. (But god, not real driving.) It's good, for some people, if used carefully....

It's funny you mentioned Top Gear because I quite enjoy it while high too, despite the fact that you would normally not think of it as stoned entertainment. But the music and scenery is just that much better.

how long do you smoke?
it's true that it increases appetite...
...at the time being
my experience is that if you smoke a lot, you eat a lot of sugar and greasy stuff, but on normal hours (moring, noon, evening) you can't get anything through your throat, and the healthier, the worse

and it's not like you don't want to, it's the stomach which doesn't want to accept the things inserted

I thought that was just me, but yeah, I have lost my appetite during times when I'm lucid. Probably not good for my system that I do half my eating while high, but what can you do.

I guess I ought to chime in.

My friend, who's one year younger than me, became a huge stoner sometime during 9th or 10th grade. Every day, if he even bothered going to school, he would come home and smoke with a few other of his friends. That's all he ever did, smoke and play Xbox in his room. His parents were ok with it as they did it regularly too. Eventually, his house became known as a getaway for people who wanted to smoke, and soon it got the attention of the police who started watching it. I don't know how long that lasted, but over the summer his house finally got raided by the cops. They confiscated all of his equipment, placed him under house arrest, and one of his friends who tried to run away was tackled and beaten down. He's serving 6 months house arrest and 2 years parole. Typical reaction, then, from bored small-town police who have nothing better to do than pull people over from speeding and harass the children. I'm still friends with him, and he still does it.

So that's my experience with pot. I think it should be legalized, and I've done it a bunch of times myself.

Holy shite. I've never even heard of something like that.

It's not legal here in Canada, but they won't beat down your door for smoking it either. I keep hearing about huge busts on houses with like, $2 million growing inside, but never anything more than a day in court for people who just use it. It's about as bad as say, blowing a stop sign in a school zone. You get a huge fine and everyone stares, but it's not like you stabbed a baby. People even smoke walking down the street.

Our government actually provides it as medicine, so that's kind of where I went off before. Our government also owns all the liquor stores and casinos, but that works out pretty well too. The money all comes back, right? Except government weed is a twiggy grey joke, so no one bothers.

As for the food thing, I never really thought of what I eat... but I am eating pizza now, so. Yeah. Maybe.

I'm in my late fifties and have smoked regularly for 35 years. Still love a joint, but don't spend cash on it, nice climate here for growing. It is true that some people will develop psychosis of some form or another but very few of the smokers I've met over the years. Doesn't seem to stop me doing all the things I need to do in life.
However, a word of warning, the brain is not fully developed during teenage years so smoking then is more likely to cause problems. Had my first smoke back in the 1970's in my twenties.

As for availablity, in Australia it is easy to come by, if expensive. Seems to be mainly hydroponic stuff sold here, around A$250 - A$300 an ounce (28 gms)

Law enforcement....depends on what state you live in, my only run in with the law was in New South Wales....5 plants in the back yard. Cost me a $200 fine

How come Australia isn't suitable for outdoor growing? It's pretty temperate over there it seems.

Yeah, outdoors is good. I think commercial hydro because easier to hide. The market is pretty big. Also the Xmas drought has disappeared since hydro came on the scene

My freshman year in college I had two rooms with smokers on my floor. One was right next door, the other at the middle of the hall. Everytime I went to the bathroom or elevator I had to smell it, twice. It was so strong it would have knocked out a drug sniffing dog. I had to keep my door shut just so I wouldn't have to smell it 24/7. That experience alone convinced me never to try it.
