Out of interest, this picture is from NASA taken by LandSat7. It can take pictures all over the earth. Just for Viper, here's one of Portland, Oregon, where I believe he lives (correct me if I'm in the wrong place Viper, I don't know my way around the US, especially navigating via satellite).

I've got a program that allows you to zoom in anywhere in the world, at which point the program automatically downloads the pictures you want straight from NASA. It's great fun but extremely resource intensive (it's taken up 1.5GB on my harddrive. images/smilies/sad.gif

A person from NASA came to the university and gave us the program (I'm studying aerospace engineering).

Um sorry Jostyrostelli, I can't get any over Netherlands at the moment. In actual fact, the server is down at the moment (mainly because people like me use it too much for fun) and all I can get is archived pictures from parts of the world, the Netherlands not included.

LandSat7 has mapped the entire earth in great detail and continues to remap it, so when I can access it, theoretically, I can take a picture of anybody's house, just not right now.

An exception though is that I should be able to get detailed pictures of anywhere in the US from the USGS (US Geological Survey) right now.

I'll get one for you as soon as possible, Jostyrostelli, but don't hold your breath, it'll be a while yet.

Actually I happen to be the only african/Egyptian in a lot of forums and places so I kinda got used to it, it's sad....
