Honestly depends on why this person hates you. It could be something serious or just something stupid that time has healed.

Honestly, going to the see this person, in person, has a much greater impact than an email or even a phone call. I'm not saying what you should do is go over there, but personal contact has a much greater effect and shows how much you care.

I am not going to comfort you and make you feel better with empty words with no substance behind them; this person wants nothing to do with you, you need to mentally break it off, and know that you have plenty of years ahead of you to find "the one." I have been in your same situation.

This is pretty much what my roommate's going through except he'll call her every once in a while and get her to come over pretty ,much for sex which is preventing her from getting over him even though he doesn't really love her. She misses him and just wants to see him so she keeps coming back. First Loves are always the hardest to move past

yeah, you're right. and i feel like shooting myself in the foot so here goes:

yes, it is. and if people think less of me for kissing one person while i had completely drunk myself into a stupor because i was distressed from my 2.5 year relationship falling apart and the other party falling out of love with me, then so be it. any insults i have received over this by other people will not match the guilt and regret i have felt over it. i've been in love with the same man for over 3 years, so i wouldn't call myself a slut by any means; although it seems some people think of me as one, seeing i was woken by a man trying to slip his hand into my jeans earlier this year.

the fact is that so many months down the track, i still get very distressed over the situation. and it's resulted in me hitting the lowest of lows, to self harm and the point of comtemplating suicide.

so yeah, really didn't want to open that can of worms. i know i deserve any shit i am given and trust me, i've received a lot of it. my main concern is trying to last through the next few months without doing the unthinkable.

ok guys, i know i'll probably get some comments questioning my morals after that, maybe something unkind, but i really don't care. i made a stupid mistake, but the depression's probably the more pressing issue. thanks to those who offered advice, i should probably let him go as much as i do love him. although in my current state, i might turn up there anyway. nothing like a crazy ex girlfriend on your doorstep saying she misses and loves you, right?

i don't want to cause any more trouble. it's 6am, time for bed.

I had a crazy ex who missed and loved me, when she called and I, as nicely as possible, told her that I had moved on and had a new girlfriend, she suddenly hated me. She said that she was now worse off in terms of mental health than she was when we met, which was very bad. The problem is though, I had truly and completely moved on, and nothing will ever change that. I'm not saying the same thing will happen to you, but I am warning you that being rejected and finding out that someone you shared love with now pretty much doesn't care about you at all are two very different things, the latter being much worse.

WWFGD...go speak to a therapist or a family member or a close friend AND keep it out of a car-forum. That's if the past has taught us anything on this forum and all like it.

I'm not qualified to give any sort of advice, but at this point you might want to think about seeing a therapist or a counselor. A car show fan site is hardly the first place to go to find really meaningful advice. I'm not saying some of the replies aren't helpful, but there are better places to go to deal with a situation like this.

I used to feel the same way, but it's clearly different with girls vs. guys so I wouldn't know, never had anyone fall for me like that before. Cheated or not, I've seen relationships weather worse storms before so if you're sincere and he's understanding enough it could come around again. Otherwise...acting too desperate is a huge turnoff for both genders, especially when it comes to taking your own life.

Time does indeed heal all wounds.
