Default Air Show Photos (Blue Angels)

Its been a while sense I have posted here. Here is my most recent stuff worth posting.

A few weeks ago I went to an Air Show in Nebraska. The Blue Angels were the main event. They also had several performances such as the Oracle Challenge stunt plane and the Red Barron stunt team. There were a other military aircraft in the air and on the ground. Find more photos from the day in my gallery. http://liquidretro.net/simpleviewer/...eedom_Air_Show

Yeah, #6 is awesome!

Those shots of the moving planes must take some skill too. How much have you cropped off the edges (if any) to get the pictures that you posted?

Saweeeet.

Air show season is in full swing! images/smilies/biggrin.gif Great pictures images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Was there a couple cops under the F-117? I remember my dad having to do that years ago at an air show in North Dakota images/smilies/lol.gif
EDIT: Guess not from your other pics..first time I've ever seen a F-117 without two posted on it images/smilies/wacko.gif

And I can't help but think that was Yeager in that P-51...did the same thing in his other Mustang last year. He's still flying high after all these years.

I'll be taking my camera to the air show here on the 28-29th, I hope to get some good pics. My Thunderbirds will be there images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

They are going to to be in San Francisco this weekend for Fleet Week. I'm going to have to miss it this year, though.

Yep.

There's the Blue Angels (Navy) Thunderbirds (Air Force) and then the Golden Knights skydiving team (Army).

The Army isn't smart enough to fly planes...so they got convinced to jump out of them instead! images/smilies/mrgreen.gif images/smilies/thumbup.gif

Actually, the Army is prohibited from flying fixed wing combat aircraft - that is reserved for the Air Force (AKA the "Chair" Force, Pointy-nosed Mach-snots, Zoomies, etc.). The US Army can still fly their own logistical aircraft, and combat rotary wing aircraft (helicopters). Helicopters are much more difficult to fly than fixed wings anyway.

Take it easy on the Army, my brother is a Second Lieutenant in the Army, he had his airborne wings before he graduated from college and he ships off to get his ranger tab early next year. Then he reports for duty in Europe where he could be transfered to Afghanistan or Iraq as a replacement. He's fourth generation Army, three of which were in the US Army - before that my family was still in Europe. So if you don't mind, a little respect.

I guess you don't know that I have been around the military for my entire life. Five of my very good friends are servicemen (2 Marine, 3 Army). Three of my uncles were Airborne from '85-'91, one is still in and deployed right now. My father was an 18 year Air Force Security Forces member before he pass in August, and was doing his duty untill the moment the big man called him up. He wasn't a "Chair" Force, Pointy-nosed, Mach-snots, or anything thereof. He held a weapon, full gear, guarding those stuck up officer's (which at least is true images/smilies/tongue.gif) aircraft, and protecting and aiding Afghani prisoners when he was deployed last year to control the prison at Bagram AB.

You got the slang right on the Officers for sure. All they are, are walking pissing contests...complete with the family to ensue on the bragging. Fortunately my father was an NCO, brought me up right and gained the respect of his troops and other members, by giving them respect from day one.

I have nothing but respect for all branches...and I cannot think of any occasion where we all haven't taken shots at eachother. Seems that you didn't get the thumbs up and smiles. I take shots from people making fun of the Air Force all the time, hell...right now my friend in the Marines is taking shots at me images/smilies/lol.gif

You know what the first pictures I took at the Air Show last year was? The Golden Knights images/smilies/biggrin.gif
