Nice, really nice.

If someone else goes there, and there's a black Lexus IS, can you please make some photos? Thanks.

Yes once again Toyota brings their 3 year old concepts down under and parades them as new design by Toyota Australia. The only car they can actually claim that with was the Sportivo concept (which was insanely cool, just they couldn't think up a new name). There was that wierd ute thing too that was based on the camry, but meh to that. They need to take a leaf out of Audi and Mazda's book, where we got to see the LeMans and the Nuvolari in the same year they lifted the covers off them, and we got to see the new MX-5 before it was even released in Geneva (ok sure it was only a few hours due to time difference, but we did)

Toyota is without doubt the shiftiest of the car companies. They build soulless whitegoods on wheels and market them like they are passionate driving machines. The worst part is, the marketing gets through to the thick people, which is pretty much everyone who isn't a car enthusiast. The worst part is, the guff gets through to some who are. I have never, ever driven a Toyota that I have enjoyed or liked. (I am yet to drive an MR-2 or Supra so this statement stands)

Note: This rant has nothing do do with Supra vs GT-R. Toyota made 3 good cars in its history, the Landcruiser, MR-2 and the Supra. This rant is more related to severe Camry HATE. images/smilies/vampire.gif

They only had a silver one which I sat in and was very impressed with. I'm hanging out for Lexus's "Legana" sports bodykit which was recently featured on WCF.com

EFIJY looks awesome.

V8 Vantage, nice but not as sexy as a 911.

Nice dials and entertainment screen there images/smilies/tongue.gif

GTO, sexy beast but what's up with that two-tone bonnet?

GS430. gorgeous.

Thanks, SL65.
How was the interior? Compared to a german car, where you also sat in.
Why couldn't they use the square parking sensors of the GS, though? Oh, and is it just me that think that the AMV8 wheel looks old as hell? (I'm trying to forget the colour images/smilies/yucky.gif , don't mention it, please)

The interior quality is good enough (if not better) than the flagship LS. The switchery and general standard equipment levels are impressive next to the German equivalents however the seats still lack support. It does have an excellent sound system!
Never before has a non-German car been a good alternative for a German car. Not even the GS. My brother is interested in upgrading from his IS200 to the new 250. Oh yeh I prefer the square parking sensors. The circle ones look like pimples on the bodywork (bmw).

images/smilies/oops.gif My bad for putting that photo there. Thats a Vanquish with the old wheel and horrid interior. The only reason why I got that picture is because the velvet rope holding everyone back fell over and we spread across the stand like cockroaches images/smilies/lol.gif There was this one hot blonde that was trying to get rid of us or else she would get fired.

Here in Aus, its called the "Legana" kit which is a factory bodykit. On WCF, its just the Sports model.

the cars they release in europe are among the most reliable of all
and toyota makes acceptable cars, the avensis is great i think, and the new corolla isn't that bad

it's true that for the moment they lack some sort of sporty car

(what's actually the story with the passeo? i think it's only been sold for like 2 years or so)

That is the standard IS. Sport sedan is the term everybody is using to describe 3-series, A4s, 9-3s...
