I'd agree about "CAR."
I will say, though, that of the major American players "Motor Trend, Car & Driver, Road and Track and Automobile" that I find Automobile to have some of the best. Plus their "artists renderings" don't look like utter shite *coughroadandtrackcough* |

Evo is alright, bit sloppy lately, leaving rigs in shot etc ... Car is gone a bit 'meh' to be honest, only ever pay attention to any of Mark Fagelsons work which is always top quality. Redline seem to depend on too much of Michael Whitestones stuff of bare flash lighting.
In the states, probably Import Tuner is one of the best, rice or no rice. |

I agree, Import Tuner has the best variety of talented shooters. Most big-name mags (C&D, R&T) have photos that bore me to tears.

Christophorus?
If there's a second hand bookstore near you check it out cos you often see piles of old magazines for next to nothing. |

Wheels is a bit touch and go, they need to get Easton Chang more, he's great.

Last I saw it was ages ago and honestly can't remember if its good or not (hence the question mark), I just thought I'd throw it in the mix as something different Import Tuner because most mags have a distinct style they aim for. Used to get that and the RR magazine through my brother.
Here in Japan, Car Graphic and a few mags dedicated to the more premium marques seem to have good quality pics. Like I said, second hand bookstore and the internet. |

look up Import Racer! if you have a chance, 2003-2004 time frame they had some amazing photogs as well as some rather gifted designers laying out the pages.

EVO makes mistakes.. but they get a lot of shots in that aren't your typical magazine shots.. it's a pleasure to flip through it just to see their photos.
I know a few Performance VW photogs... they're quite good, but I get board with the typical mag shots that all look similar. I take those sorts of shots.. I'd rather see different sorts in the mags ![]()
