old porsches do run!
|
Time to upload my pics. I didn't shot much on sunday, a little bit more on monday. Also didn't do any fancy photoshop trickery, because of my natural laziness, so consider this as documentary report
![]() D-Fence and Ford Prefect hiding there behind other's backs. Taking pics of that bikes race. Before we find there's a way to the roof that is ![]() And that's what those bikes looked like. Tight race ![]() Other stuff happening on the Ring too... Adu giving us a ride, we follow Ford's Mini My car parked on our initial meeting place: That's another Porsche ![]() Now few random photos from spectating place in Brünnchen Not a great photo, but succesfull panning, so I show it ![]() Same as above This looked a bit boring so I went overboard with photoshop Zakspeed Viper, obviously Kill meeee, pleeease F430 attracting a lot of attention ![]() That's all I took that day... Now some other photos related to Ring. This is a hotel I stayed in. Very nice one. And a view from the window Next day I went back ![]() All the roads around the Ring are AWESOME too. This has limit 70km/h I think, with pretty steep downhill.. Loved it. Man, they would put 40km/h here on something like that ![]() And what do I see on the parking lot ![]() Mmmmm.... Carbon inside Huge carbon-ceramic brakes And carbon spoiler Those were some italian journalists, shooting for something. They had whole car stuffed with cameras too (if you want to see me being overtaken by it, go watch the video D-Fence uploaded to google in nearby thread )One other mean looking thing. Notice the lack of windshield Also stuffed with carbon ![]() Returning from the track. Mmm, Elise Elise inside Mmmmmmmmmm, Exige Something very weird looking DB9 Going for a lap Nice pair ![]() One 4 other S Friendly looking Alfa British classics ![]() I overtook the blue one ![]() Very casual cruising ![]() Grüne Hölle It has very nice painting inside. I want one at home. Something in the sky.. Plane experts, what is this thing? I went to see the castle too But the gates were closed ![]() Yes, closed on Mondays ![]() Nice view nevertheless 8) |

I think it's a VW Golf Mk. I cabriolet with a selfmade detachable hardtop, very weird indeed...
The plane is definitely an A-10 Thunderbolt (or Warthog or Silent Killer). Very nice pics, I wish I could have been there but I don't have money atm...

nice pics mxm! how was the rest of your trip??
@alok: did you end up going to the ring on the weekend? I was there on sunday with a bunch of other minis after our meet in Düsseldorf. The weather turned out to be quite nice in the afternoon, not as hot as last weekend (thank god), but completely dry. Today it wasn´t so nice, and I left quite early after doing a lap in the rain...

It went great
Lots of pics from the rest too, but it takes too damn much time to go through them... Most of them are from museums anyway, and you somehow overestimate the value of the photo at the time you take it. So I have few hundreds of Merc's, Audi's and everything there was in Sinsheim Posting everything will just be boring. But I'll try to do somekind of report with selected photos soon. |

Silly Germans, stealing our planes.
Actually, we have a base there, so it may have been our's...And that's a REALLY awesome plane. Sounds crazy and it's essentially a flying gattling gun. Literally most of the plane is just gun.![]() ![]()
It's being replaced by a JSF variation though as the A-10 is subsonic and kinda old. The JSF however is supersonic and is more versatile.
