f18 1/80 iso 250 1600mm 5d2. Cropped from RAW to 2500x2500 but shrunk down to 1280x1280.

the night was cloudy so focus was shit. Check the weather radar for how cloudy it was a few hours ago.

I doubt you'd need a tracker for a 1/80s exposure. Also, I'm fairly certain he shot it with a 800mm +2XTC, not a telescope. images/smilies/tongue.gif

A tripod is necessary, yes, but not a tracker. A tracker moves the lens to compensate for the celestial object's movement, and the moon isn't going to move much in 1/80s.
