Default panoramas from road trip (large photo warning)

I thought I'd finally stitch up some shots from my trip from Washington to Texas last August for people to check out. Some of them aren't... perfect, but let me know what you think anyway.

a scenic view off of I-84 in either Oregon or Idaho.. can't remember: [larger version]
http://www.shellfront.org/rootrider/gallery/panoramas/pano01_1280.jpg

a small river canyon in southern Idaho before entering into Utah: [larger version]
http://www.shellfront.org/rootrider/gallery/panoramas/pano02_1280_dark.jpg

same canyon... but taken as if you're looking straight down and panning from left to right: [larger version]
http://www.shellfront.org/rootrider/gallery/panoramas/pano03_1280_dark.jpg

taken either in southern Utah or northern New Mexico, on our way to the Grand Canyon: [larger version]

a view of the Grand Canyon from a viewpoint on the south rim: [larger version]

And finally, a couple photos from our destination.. QuakeCon 2004 in Grapevine, TX:
This is a shot of our part of one of the tables at the LAN: [larger version]

and.. an overall panorama of the approximately 2700 computers brought to the event: [larger version]

enjoy!

couple more panoramas that are car related... though they're not as good and show a lot more ghosting. These were taken during the Bahn Brenner/Waterwagens European car cruise to Mt. Rainier in the summer of 2004. We had about 50 cars on the cruise, which occured on a beautiful and rather cloud free day in the mountains. As you can tell.. most of the cars are Volkswagens.

Jasonchiu, serious, you should stop saying stuff like that. You obsessively post alot here (and I'm not saying anything about the content). Everybody has his/her thing. And they can make a lot of money with "just" playing games. What if someone really likes cars and spend a lot of time on them?
Just think about what you post, before you actually do.

Back to the topic: those are indeed some nice pics. Did your clan do well there?

autostitch for most of them... The Panorama Factory for others.

autostitch is rather nice when it works, but gets easily confused sometimes, and offers almost no control over how some photos are merged. I've messed with the contrast on a couple of the photos but in general there's no postprocessing done other than the stitching itself. The photos were all shot with fixed shutter/aperture/iso settings, metered as neutrally as I could at the time.

I really like the panorama perspective. It also makes great looking images (as in very large). Great work images/smilies/thumbsup.gif
