Default Photo gods please help

There's a little discussion about this in the F1 subforum, but I would use some photographers' wisdom.

http://pic.phyrefile.com/a/an/anonymous/2008/07/06/kimi_push.gif

This is Kimi Raikkonen pushing a photographer to the ground. And there's a camera flash at the moment when the photographer is being pushed.

Now, here's a photo from Grandprix.com...

http://www.grandprix.com/jpeg/phc/pbri08/sun/raikkonen1-lg.jpg

Can you say if it was possibly taken in that incident?

Edit: Upon review, I think that there was enough separation between flash and camera to cause the toplit effect. The girl in white in the background has a matching strap on her bag, and there is a black shadow consistent with the other photographer standing behind Kimi (Note the white patch on the shoulder.) The umbrella appears in the top left corner as well. That was a hell of a lucky shot.

Yeah, watch the you tube in HQ mode and then pause it when the photographer is hit - you'll see Kimi's visor is down.

I also thought it was down, but seeing this photo, I think it was just the camera angle. Kimi was looking down at the photographer, so the visor would have looked shut from above.

Look closer at the top of his helmet, you can see where the partially-open visor overlaps the red band that is normally totally visible when his visor is down.

The helmet visor is closed on the GIF and open in the photo.

It's not that photo. Simple.

Alright, since there are still some non-believers:

Capture from GIF/YT

http://pic.phyrefile.com/a/an/anonymous/2008/07/08/kimi1.JPG

Point #1) Note at the upper left, the red umbrella being help over Kimi. This is more obvious earlier in the GIF.
Point #2) Note the photographer in dark clothing with a white patch on his jacket. Also notice the shape of his hat.
Point #3) Note the woman in the white jacket on the right hand side with distinctive double-strap bag.
Point #4) Note the gap between the bar code and edge of visor on his helmet

Photo:
http://pic.phyrefile.com/a/an/anonymous/2008/07/08/kimi2.JPG

Point #1) Note the red object over his left shoulder, consistent with the placement of the red umbrella in the video.
Point #2) Note the dark silhouette behind Kimi and the barely visible yet present white patch on his jacket, consistent with that of the second photographer. The silhouette of the hat also matches.
Point #3) Note the white-jacketed woman in the right hand side carrying a distinctive double-strapped bag.

Kimi's helmet:
http://pic.phyrefile.com/a/an/anonymous/2008/07/08/kimi3.JPG

Point #4) Notice that the white gap between the visor edge and barcode is significantly larger than than in the GIF. Hence, the visor was open.

The photographer took the photo while being pushed.

This was posted in the thread but deleted. Apparently Kimi is so emotionally fragile that a man taking his picture can shatter his racing ability, who knew?

Click the red blob in the quote to see that he posted it in the other thread as well.

Surely you're not defending him just because you happen to take photos as well? Because there's taking photos and there's sticking your flash up someone's helmet before the race, and from the video I've seen it seems to be the 2nd. This was obviously in local papers and they've interviewed some other photographers who were standing there. They pretty much agreed that it was that guy's own fault. He apparently has a reputation of being a bit of an intruder too.

I'm not arguing that it was his fault, I'm arguing against the idea that "it was about time someone showed photographers that there is a limit to irritating people." Oh, dear, not irritation! Better start shoving them over, that'll show them! If somebody is irritating me, I either ignore it or ask them to stop. If someone says I'm irritating them, and they're right, I'll adjust how I shoot accordingly - it's called common courtesy. Pushing people over really doesn't enter the equation. Conversely to your point, if it were some B-list celebrity, most people would say they were being jerks if they shoved over a photographer doing his job, yet if it's a famous F1 driver it's perfectly acceptable. Double-standards abound.
