| Whats a good photo printer that can be had for around $1,000USD? I'd prefer one that can do larger prints(bigger than 8x10), of course with high resolution and all the good stuff. I don't really know much about them though, and I don't even know where to begin.

Car: 2001 Impreza RS Rep Power: 10 ![]() ![]() ![]() | For $1000 the world is pretty much your oyster. For $400 you can get the Canon Pixma Pro 9000 or for $850 you can get the Pixma 9500. I've heard very good reviews on both. And both print larger than letter format. Unfortunately, my lack of funds keeps me from giving you first-hand knowledge on them. |

Sometimes, it's just cheaper to take it to a lab. |

But Bererker is right, it isn't cheap printing at home, it only really pays to spend that much if you're going to be selling prints. |

| Well my mom is a photography teacher at a college near where I live, and she has to spend the rest of the courses yearly budget(or its just lost), which is about $1400. We figured a lens (10-20mm sigma) for the D80 (also bought on budget ) and a photo-printer would be the best things to buy.So this will be used for her students as well as personal use.
