| old porsches do run! | I wasn't focusing too much on making good pics, just snapped everything randomly between track time ![]() This first one is a Porsche Cup racer, he was supposed to make a show-lap, but didn't. Dunno, maybe he did while I was out eating, or maybe there was some reason for not doing it. This is budget racer kinda There are more of them, and later in the evening they had a little race. Though it's based on ordinary 944, with tough suspension and stripped chassis it's very very fast. GT3RS ![]() Another budget-racer. Again, suspension costs two times more than car ![]() 996 and 997 A rare sight (here at least), 924 Carrera GT. There were 2 of them, didn't catch other one on camera though. And now some track shots GT3 Cup again 968CS. Very high on my realistic dream car list. The peak of Porsche's front-engined line But prices for this one are around same range as first Boxsters I think, and most people go for Boxster. I would probably too. But this one is sweeet. "Art"-shot with lights lined up ![]() Ruf turbo mega strosek. Ooh, the noise this thing makes... Actually a racer too (not so budget), but road legal. There are more pics of it following. After some hot laps. Notice the smoke coming from air-intakes in the spoiler ![]() Preparation for a little race, safety first. And some contestants On the grid Some more smoke It had some troubles, so he didn't finish. Race won that black 944 with number 17 and great driver. After some hard steering I need new wheel Or somebody who can put new skin on it.![]() EDIT: somebody move it to photography please ![]() |

| Its the 924 Carrera GT for me. Sweet & old school cool. Its the only car you can paint up in racing colors and drive it on the street and nobody would think your a fool. Homologation specials rule. You would really take an early boxster over a 968CS? Really? ![]()

), but you get to choose between perfection of Porsches FR-transaxle design, and early (probably not S) version of MR. The origin of first one is the entry-level Porsche, the origin of second is about the best roadster on market. Go figure which is better... | |
