Default Shots from Rickett's Glen State park

I live about 20 mins away from here, but this is the first time I've gotten my camera up to take pics. I use a Kodak Easyshare DX7590

Those two pics were the only ones that came out fairly decent. I was playing around with the settings and took a lot of crappy shots. Plus, I only spent about an hour in the park, and it takes around 4 hours to actually walk the entire trail.

I love all the green in the first pic, and the waterfall exposure is awesome! May I ask what shutter speed and ISO you used in the second picture? I am assuming it looks this way due to the darkness of the overall composistion. I set shutter speed at 1/5 a second and depending on light, looks too over exposed, and I have to alter that in photoshop.

The EXIF Data can be seen under the pics when you click on them from this link - http://www.king-nerd.com/dood/images/minigal/index.php?list=Photography/The%20Outdoors/Rickett's%20Glen%20State%20Park/9-17-06

Neither of these photos have been tweaked in any way.
