| A Small Influence On Koenigsegg | Quote:
I've decided to go ahead and make a thread for the stitches and panoramas we do. These have been done using pics taken with my mobile phone a very long time ago. ![]() ![]() ![]() And this with I believe 30 or so pics taken with a 50mm 1.4 lens. ![]() And these two with 27, 35 pics respectively at 24mm. ![]() ![]() Your turn. Please note, if you have planets to post, I'd make a new thread/you can make a new one. Last edited by Viper007Bond; January 14th, 2008 at 10:01 AM.. | |

| wow, very nice Alok. How do you stitch them together? I used autostitch onca, but did not get very good results... | |

| A Small Influence On Koenigsegg | All except the last two I did using the photomerge option in photoshop, with not so satisfactory results. I recently switched to Autopano Pro and life is a million times better since. |

| Great thread and thanks for letting me know about Autopano! I took intended panorama photos on holiday, but wondered how to do them. I even tried manually. ![]() A 360 Panorama of the Austrian Alps. Was 10 photos. ![]() That was taken near Mayrhofen. The only problem I have with it are the black blotchy lines where some of the joins are. I don't know how to get rid of them.

Car: 2001 Impreza RS Rep Power: 12 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My efforts with panoramas didn't go over too great, I used the Canon Photostitch for some shots I took while on a school "trip". Not the most picturesque place in the world, the middle of nowhere is. I have others that I never got to put together; I'll give them a shot with Autopano and see if there's any difference. ![]() |

| Speedtouch, it looks like the marks are vignetting from your lens/camera/aperture etc - photoshop can sometimes correct this (I think it's a filter called lens correction under the distort section or something) but you'll have to play with the settings to get it spot on...

| ^ I use a Samsung L80 camera, so no big DSLR stuff. And Autopano for stitching. So I could understand it being a slightly poorer lens than DSLRs. And I tried Lens Correction and it didn't seem to do much.

Car: 2001 Impreza RS Rep Power: 12 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Also, about the overlap: My Canon has a built in panorama mode and it tends to want you to overlap around 1/3 of the shot. It works fairly well, if it just tends to use up more space on your card. I don't use a DSLR either (Just a Powershot A640), but if you overlap beyond the vignetting you shouldn't have any problems. And I just tried out AutoPano and am very impressed. Photostitch always would be troublesome with distortions from wide-angle lenses, but this seems to correct most of that. And since it saves as psd in layers I was able to get rid of that ghosting effect. To show as an example another of my pics from the summer: Originally 2 pics: ![]() Last edited by P5138; January 4th, 2008 at 05:42 PM.. |

| I found another Alps panorama. This one I took with the 'Widescreen' mode on my camera, so its not as tall as the other one. Originally 8 pictures. ![]()

Car: Dodge Viper (I wish!) I was also pretty bad at taking photos back then (still am pretty bad, heh), not to mention I should go back and remove the seams, but anyway... (resized to a decent size for forum posting, the originals are a LOT bigger) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have more that I can dig up and post if interested.
