| Anyone wanna explain how to cut out a font and place an image inside of it? I haven't used Photoshop in a few years, just haven't had time to experiment, thanks. * Nevermind, found it in one of your million links.... *

After that make the font layer invisible, inverse your selection and delete everything outside the area of the font. (Better Solution) Alternatively place the image over the font layer and press alt+ctrl+G which creates a clipping mask of the layer to the font's visible area, so you can move the image around to what you like. |

| Here's a quick way to do it: 1.) Open the image you want to use. 2.) Select the font/size you want and type the words you want any where on the image (the color of the text doesn't matter at this point) 3.) Select the layer with your image and CTRL click on the "T" in the text layer (The will select the outline of the text) 4.) Copy and paste into a new layer, then hide all the other layers There you go. There may be a better way, but this works ![]() EDIT: Argh, I should've known someone else would respond as I was typing that out ![]()

| Well it doesn't help that I am a retard, just looked at what I am using.... Macromedia Fireworks. Same crap but different hot keys. I hate it compared to PS, don't know why. *Update: Rejoice! Finally found my Photoshop 7!* Thanks for the help, should have looked harder before asking.... ![]() The "alt+ctrl+G" did not work. Thanks again.

Car: Invisible boatmobile Rep Power: 51 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Another way to do it (first way I thought of) would be the following: 1. Find the image you want the text's insides to be filled with, and open it up in PS. 2. Click on the big T icon (for text) and hold your mouse button. You should see an option called "Horizontal Type mask tool". Click on that 3. Type wherever you want, and change up the font and size just like you were doing normal text. 4. When you're done it should become a selection which you can move around by selecting the marquee tool first and then moving your text selection around the image that you want. 5. Copy paste into a new window or whatever you want. 6. Dance. |
