Was working on another vector a couple of days ago and have been slowly adding things day by day. I keep getting called to help parents with one thing or another and so I don't get time to spend it all on vectoring it, but that's good as well. That way I get more time for my brain to think and more time to try new tricks and things and add more detail.
Here's what I've got so far. Note: STILL VERY BASIC AND STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS. THIS IS NOT THE FINAL VERSION. I'm hoping to put a lot more detail than usual and if need be I'll chuck it in photoshop and add details there rather than in illustrator (where I'm still struggling with gradient meshes and opacity masks). ![]() Any suggestions would be great, but since it's still WIP, just make sure it's not something completely obvious like "Vector the tires" ![]() Source: http://www.seriouswheels.com/pics-20...e-1280x960.jpg Edit: Gave up and made this instead while I get my skills: http://lurkerpatrol.deviantart.com/a...estry-95215891

good job so far, a few notes
- vector the tyres ( couldnt resist)- from the original shot the rear lights arent THAT white, more of a greyish - exhausts look a bit too sparkly white aswell, but especially those 3 vents at the front stand out too much. Other than that I'd say it looks OK |

The hardest part of this is adding the details. This has no details thus far. |

i personally prefer lines in vectors, and maybe you should get your ass out of the NSFW section and get concentrated on the job at hand instead of boobs

It's looking awesome so far. I especially like the rims.

Hm...I think the shadows need a to be smoother, they seem jagged.

I tried to make the shadows up on top as gradients so they'd flow from one to another. Guess I need to lower the opacity on those or something.
That big jagged black thing in the middle of the car is just something from the original picture (some mountain range). I'll remove that and put in some proper shadowing. Thanks for the comment. Crazy Vega: The rims aren't done yet , those are still from the original. I have to vector those + the tires still.

I've always wondered how these vector drawings were done and it's nice to see a work in progress.
