Can someone make a 158x158 PNG icon for the site? It may crop off some of that though, so make the actual content 125x125.
With the new recently released iPhone / iPod Touch firmware, you can create bookmarks on your springboard (desktop basically) that go directly to websites. It'll either use an automatic screenshot (which looks ugly) or a cool one specified by the website. I'm thinking the gear shifter would look great that's in the middle of our logo. Not sure if it supports transparency or not yet (I don't want to upgrade and lose all my custom apps). Oh, and no adding any glassy styling to it or anything -- it'll do it on it's own. More details: http://vjarmy.com/archives/2008/01/h...clip_icons.php http://developer.apple.com/iphone/de...ngcontent.html

![]() Hmm, actually, that's too bad. Dunno how the background would look so small though (the iPhone/iPod Touch has a MUCH higher pixels per inch resolution than your or my monitor). Can you make a few variations on that? One with a solid black background, one transparent, and then another set of black/transparent with just the shifter and no text? ![]()

Here you go:
http://files.phyrefile.com/file/2008...ns57and158.rar Included is the (cropped) "full version" and a (cropped) "shifter only version" each with carbon, black and transparent background and each in 57x57 and 158x158 resolution. Just give it a try, maybe it looks a lot better on the device!?! However, I think the "shifter only version" will make it... ![]() |

Ah okay, I missed that point.
I don't have an iPhone or iPod Touch so I can't try it myself. Maybe anyone else? This is a cool feature for quite cool devices but I think they're far too expensive... ![]() |

Ive got a Touch with the new software etc but I'm hardly around a wi-fi area so its hard for me to test it.
If i know exactly what to do I'd try find a hot spot and test it out.

Okay I have done it but my camera phone and shitty digital camera cannot make that image look good so there is blurring etc.
Is there a way to get a screen shot of your spring board? I know you can do it if you Jailbreak but can you do it when you haven't? Here is my lame ass attempt at the picture. On the actual Touch there is no problem at all when reading the text, the camera just fucked it up. ![]() The three types are Black, Carbon, Transparent. The Touch gives the Transparent ones a black background and looks exactly like the black one. Personally I like the 5th one in the picture. It is the Red Carbon one with the Text.

Also, the "Final" looks washed out due to the glass effect. Is this the case in real life or is it easy to read?
Trying to decide on red text vs. red no text.

You can read it very easily, it is a little lighter than the GEAR text due to the glass effect.
My camera made it about 10x worse than it is. I vote for Text.
