The way I did it was to use vanishing point tool. You can find that in Filters > Vanishing point.

There are tutorials all over the internet explaining how to use it but basically what it does is a combo of healing and cloning but with perspective adjustments

Edit: Forgot to mention that you can paint over the area with a color and then do some adjustments from there as well.
