Rep Power: 13 ![]() | Any idea what sort of processing is done to get this effect on a photo? ![]() (Photo from here) I have no clue how they've made the textures so detailed. |

| Despot | He has just selected parts of the image that are kind of flat on tones and made sure that there is a bright white and a black point in that selection, then gone over the entire face that way hence this effect. |

Car: 911, 328i, Golf, '71 Vespa Sprint Rep Power: 0 ![]() | they are simply higher contrast images - drop out the midrange to make a more drastic D-log H curve. fast, warm processor temperatures would do this for you in a film darkroom. i highly recommend this book - http://www.amazon.com/New-Zone-Syste.../dp/0871001004 though it was written for and about film, the same ideas still apply with digital photography. remeber, most of this stuff you see done in photoshop can be done much easier by having knowledge of light, and applying it to how you take the photograph.
