Default Al Gore challenged!

Al Gore, pastor of the United Church of Global Warming has been challenged to a live international televised debate on the subject.

Quote:
Lord Monckton of the UK calls on the former Vice President to "step up to the plate and defend his advocacy of policies that could do grave harm to the welfare of the world's poor. If Mr. Gore really believes global warming is the defining issue of our time, the greatest threat human civilization has ever faced, then he should welcome the opportunity to raise the profile of the issue before a worldwide audience of billions by defining and defending his claims against a serious, science-based challenge."

"A careful study of the substantial corpus of peer-reviewed science reveals that Mr. Gore's film, An Inconvenient Truth, is a foofaraw of pseudo-science, exaggerations, and errors, now being peddled to innocent schoolchildren worldwide."

The arena of the glittering "Second Great Debate" will be the elegant, Victorian Gothic Library of the Oxford Museum of Natural History, which was the setting for the "Great Debate" between the natural scientist T. H. Huxley and Bishop "Soapy Sam" Wilberforce on the theory of evolution, following the publication of Darwin's Origin of Species. I hope that in this lofty atmosphere the caution and scepticism of true science will once again prevail, this time over the shibboleths and nostrums of the false, new religion of climate alarmism."

"Forasmuch as it is His Lordship who now flings down the gauntlet to the Vice-President, it shall be the Vice-President's prerogative and right to choose his weapons by specifying the form of the Great Debate. May the Truth win! Magna est veritas, et praevalet. God Bless America! God Save the Queen!"

Personally, I don't think he will take up the challenge. He likes to preach to the choir and mooch $100 meals off Hollywood types.

Tbh, I'd like to be on the safe side. If global warming does excist, and I believe it does, then what mr. Gore says does make sense. And the fact that he uses a private jet doesn't change the message. To be honest.

Good. Lets end this "there is no more debate" on global warming. The debate will end when science, not politics, proves it is or is not happening.

The science debate that is over is gravity and that the world is round. Everything else should be questioned, or we will be ignorant of science and facts, as people were in the dark ages.

I believe there is warming and general change in climate around the earth, but in no way is it a direct causation of human behavior. Like Jayhawk said, let science prevail on this issue, not politics aka crazy treehuggers.

I would have no problem if Al Gore was consistent, but when someone flies across the nation in jets, owns muscle cars, has a home that uses more electricity in a month than most people use in a year, and then tells me I am ruining the planet because I drive an suv, then I have a problem. It turns out that George W. Bushes house is more eco friendly than his and Gore does not mention that people who eat meat contribute more to global warming that truck drivers. What really makes me angry though, is that he says he fights global warming by wasting fuel and energy and then paying money to Terra-Pass to offset his waste. So in the end he is like all the other movie stars who pay money to soothe their conscience.
