Errr, on topic, right. I'm a bit anal with my tyre pressures. I'll check my pressures at least every week, because I don't have a lot of money to spend on petrol, so every little difference counts. While like some have said, it sounds like Obama is making half of the country to be idiots, but the fact is, I don't know anyone who bothers to keep their pressures up consistently. It's these small things that don't cost anything (or should be done in the first place anyway) that needed to be reinforced.

Feel free to jump on me if this is misinformed, but it really sounds to me like the US has really dug themselves a hole. A motor industry that has been very resistant to change and hasn't built anything that truly competes for years, people finding it hard to live with $4.00+/gallon petrol when most of us deal with double or more and a whole bunch of SUVs out there that were built to meet stupid tax breaks and weigh as much as Texas. It doesn't sound good.

And the unions (from the sound of it) aren't really helping either.
