Default Campaign Ads

So, i'm sure everyone is aware that McCain released an ad essentially comparing Obama to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. Funny thing is that the Hilton family contributed to his camaign, and Mrs. Hilton wasn't too happy...

Here is the ad

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

Well, Paris has released her own ad

*edit*

I kept the title of the thread generic so other ads etc can be discussed as well.

Wow, never knew Paris actually had a sense of humor. Which is kinda hot, actually.

(She's still way hotter without makeup, though.)

Fairly sure she was reading an autocue there, or at least reading phoenetically...Some of those words had more than two syllables!

Anyway, to keep things on topic.

I am curious. What did the American finalgearheads think of the McCain 'celebrity' ad? Clever ad? Cynical ploy?

I think they could have called him a "celebrity" and just refer to the fact that he's so popular for really no reason at all. Throwing in Paris and Britney wasn't really necessary to prove their point.

Hilarious in its idiocy. There's been a real backlash against stupid stunts like this and outright smear campaigns, recently. I would've thought the McCain camp had more sense.

Since when is it a negative thing to have name recognition? In my opinion, based on my interactions with his advisers, campaign staffers and others, as well as studying his record from the state and national senates, I believe that he is more than ready to lead and I think he'd be a damn sight better than McSame.
