No they (not all of course) make themselfs 'different' from heterosexual people by having their own events and stuff. I don't have anything against it, but then don't complain that they are treated different by some people.
When society is full of bigots that consider you an outcast, you're only forced to resort to gay clubs, magazines, parades, etc.

Nobody forces gay people to do anything. I mean, great, you suck another man's penis, okay...let's make a parade about it. images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

The worst thing I've ever heard is how some gay people equate their 'struggle' to that of the blacks during the 1960s civil rights era. Skin color is genetic, homosexuality isn't. Nobody chooses their skin color, well, except for Michael Jackson.

What's your point exactly?

Are you trying to say that gay people have had equal rights all this time?

Do you get annoyed at feminists too?

What was my point? You said that gays are "forced to resort to gay clubs, magazines, parades, etc." and I disagree. How clear would you like me to be?

I never said gay people have had equal rights all this time. I only commented that gay people think they are like the blacks from the 1960s, which is not at all the same.

And feminists have successfully destroyed the family unit. A family could get by on the wages of a single parent, but nowadays, it's hard to get by with a dual-income family.

So a gay couple can walk into a normal club/bar, display affection, and not get harrassed? I'm talking about any-town USA here.

Sure, anybody could be harrassed anywhere for any reason. Passing equal rights legislature for gays won't change people's attitudes or opinions.

Sure, I didn't deny that, it's true, but they are not doing themselfs a favour by having their own events. I'm sure it all works for them, but 'they' will get used to it and isolate themselfs.

Do you really believe people would choose to be homosexual if they know they have to put up with this bullshit?

Think about it logically before you post.

Discrimination is discrimination no matter what issue is being discriminated against.

What did feminists do that made raising a family more financially challenging?

Again, think things over before you post and reveal your idiotic opinions.

Pass some hate crime laws...or better yet, they should be charged with terrorism, which is exactly what harrassment really amounts to at the top end: spreading fear.

Idiotic opinion? If one doesn't agree with a person then they automatically have an idiotic opinion?

Should I think logically or scientifically? First of all, what proof exists that shows people are born gay? To me, homosexuality is a psychological issue. It all boils down to the argument of Nature vs. Nurture.

Besides, why do some people still smoke knowing it's harmful to their health? Some may be addicted, others may be ignorant. And many continue to smoke because it's pleasurable. Being a proud, gay person has its negatives when they constitute the scientific and social minority.

I don't think it's a choice to be gay or hetero. It's not like they say one day "hey, let's date men!". It's just how you were born.

How would the society make you gay? Or help you becoming gay?
