Castro is still going to win. He will have power until his death - defying America to the very end. Stupid embittered Cubans in Florida dictating US policy. We should have flooded Cuba with dollars and trade thereby encouraging a native insurrection. But no, we're going to let that SOB bastard win. images/smilies/thumbdown.gif

I was watchin a documentary on this. There was this one american guy who worked with castro over the years n he couldnt stop telling the reporter how smart, intelligent and clever this guy is. He (castro) is what 80 or something rite now? And he has no worries about death. He also made clear that after he dies his brother will be the next in line to take over.

watched the interview or the documentary on CBC

A lot of people think he's actually dead, and this may be a great time to free Cuba.

I think what should happen is as soon as the old bastard dies we lift all sanctions, and flood the island with money and development. The old regime would be forgotten in a year, I hope. Though I may speaking through ignorance, I think Cubans are just waiting for him to drop dead. Yes, he did put all citizens on somewhat more equal footing, but at terrible, terrible price.

Look what Levi's and Coca Cola did to Russia! Well, Gorbachev and Peristroika (sp) helped considerably, too.
