Fuck them. Genetic experimentation has been held back for years because of this attitude. Stem cell research could potentially grow new organs and restore functioning to Spinal Chord Injury patients - you know, like my father.

Find me the fucker that came up with that idea and I'll smash his spine with a sledgehammer - we'll see how eager he is to ban stem cell research then.

I have not the words to express my rage. Self righteous, pompous, sanctimonious assholes like this are the reason my father isn't alive today. These goddammed hypocrites are fine taking antibiotics, insulin, having surgery, and taking advantage of medical breakthroughs that have their roots in the illegal human dissections of the renaissance - a practice the Catholic Church condemned. Now they use that very medicine to artificially prolong life, because medical knowledge is "God's gift" or some shit. Bullshit. According to them all medical knowledge came from sinful and ungodly acts. At the same time they artificially prolong life they condemn any kind of birth control as being "against god's will." WHAT? It's ok to use medical practices based on sin to artificially manipulate life, but it's not ok to protect yourself from disease or unwanted pregnancy by using a simple bit of vulcanized latex?

Fuck them all, I hope they all suffer disease and injury that can be cured by the very science they are trying to destroy - I want them to spend years of suffering as they hear the doctors around them lament, "If only Stem Cell research had been allowed to progress...." "Stem Cell research shows such promise, but politicians and churches keep fighting it.." Let the suffer a long time so they can think about how many people they hurt, how many lives could have been saved, how many families could have had their father, mother, son, or daughter alive and well; how many people that could have walked again, or gotten of dialysis.

Let them all experience the full magnitude of the preventable suffering they have caused.

Although in defense of the Church, I will say that they do spend the vast majority of their money on humanitarian causes. Although they have wasted money on cunts like Mother Teresa.
