A German army instructor ordered a soldier to envision himself in New York City facing hostile blacks while firing his machine gun

I hate to laugh, but where the heck did he pull that one from?!?

The article then mentions something about posing with skulls. Doesn't sound like that big of a deal, better skulls than people. Apparently someone exposed himself while holding a skull...that's just weird though.

I think he might have meant LA. Still ruddy stupid. After all, he could have said "Muslims", he could have said "Rotte Armee Fraction", he could have said "Boris the bear", since Russia's on the the rise, he could even have said "an angry Frenchman with a stick", and it would have had the same effect.

its absolutely ridiculous...i'm glad they did not draft me afterall...i would have refused to shoot in such a scenario.

Im so sick of this over sensitive world that blows every throw away comment into something worth a race war. Im surprised that no one made a thread on Imus, that is a perfect example of this. Guy says dumb comment world goes nuts like he shot at kids. Well thank god that we have the first amendment that protects our speech, that we can say anything offensive, hurt anyones feelings, and not be under threat of physical harm. Oh i forgot our society is becoming so pc that we will give up our rights just so we don't hurt each others feelings.

People are so touchy about racism it's practically impossible to have any real dialog about why. All this stuff is hilarious to me, mostly because people take it so seriously.

I think the funny part is:

He said Afro Americans.

This shows me, that it is meant as a freaking JOKE, otherwise he wouldn´t call them Afro Americans but something worse. We don´t really say Afro Americans in normal language here, we say like coloured or black.....Afro Americans is only used in formal language...


The thing with the skulls is the same kind of shit....soldiers posed in a disturbing way with skulls they found in Afghanistan. Whole normal press shit started, later they found out that it were actually russian skulls and the population in the area whre it happened didn´t care shit about them, even the children kick them around because they hate the russians..........

Training? Unprofessionalism? It's the army, not a debate squad. They're not exactly worried about stepping on anyones toes. The way it's all worded, especially the "motherfucker" part, sounds like a joke to me. He must have watched Pulp Fiction that morning or something.

Lol, i'm not saying that training and professionalism are not integral to military training. It was unprofessional for him to let himself be taped saying something like that. But it's not like these guys where running around high shooting at birds with that machine gun. Like I said in my previous post, the army isn't exactly worried about being politically correct.
