Even if the paper is right-wing, it doesn't mean the event didn't happen. As I said, I find it interesting they tried to slap the guy with an assault charge but couldn't make it stick.
Its not that the paper is right-wing, its that the Daily Mail is full of bullshit, often sexing news to make it look more interesting and printing highly incorrect info. To be honest, most of the people who read it like it because they think it isn't a cheap tabloid like the News of The World, when its properly worse than them. Its readers are gullible idiots, and that's been nice.

That's a really good point. If I heard a thud and feared my neighbor had collapsed, I'd run the heck up there instead of having to wait for the police to arrive.

No, Germany didn't start WWI, Russia and Austria-Hungary did after the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand. Germany was no more at fault for WWI than France, they just had the misfortune of being the last ones standing.

Oh that ... well no, we didn't start that one. I actually thought you were talking about World War II, because teeb was talking about the Nazi party and 1939. Sorry! images/smilies/bangin.gif

Wow, I also agree there is not nearly enough we know from this story to really draw any conclusions. Personally here in Canada, I would sooner believe the polices side then the persons, just because in dealing with them (Never in a in trouble way, besides being hammered at the beach) they have been quite nice and seem to be looking for help the people as best they can. I also have a few friends who are ex police officers and I can see why they might act like that, there are a lot of situations that look normal but pose a huge threat to police officers. I think the guy was a dick to the cops more then anything, knowing the police they tend to explain things well and would of let him know why they were there.

Being rude or a dick is not justification for a pepper-spraying in one's own home.

On principle Blind, I agree, but in this case we just have this one report - I still think there's a lot more to what happened.

Makes sense ONLY if the police know who lives there before they go.
