Maybe shoud've said it different, I know what a monopoly is and knew it was there, but who says (And I'm not up to date on prices on the street images/smilies/wink.gif) government drugs will be cheaper than the streets? Government here can make medicine extremely expensive here so people either don't buy them or get them cheaper elsewhere.

Because the prices on the street (and like you, I do not know the exact prices on the street) are used to make huge financial profits. Thats the name of the game. They buy the product for a low amount and sell them for 10x the price of what they bought it for. Even if the government sold it for 3x profit, it would lower the price of drug all over the country.

Yup, lelize, having it banned only makes it worse. They say Marihuana leads on to heavier drugs, allthough I dont think it makes it worse when its legal. It being legal will make it not criminal so I think people who smoke would back off the other shit.

I dont think it should be easy to buy though. Only at certain shops/pharmacys or whatever.

This thread reminds me of a bit that comedian Daniel Tosh does.

He's like: "I wish they would legalize pot [crowd cheers], because then potheads would have nothing else to talk about! Seriously guys grow up!...[crowd cheers]...and do coke like an adult. images/smilies/lol.gif

i actually pay less on the street than i do when going to a coffeeshop, and the quality is at least equal to what you get in coffeeshops

That's what I thought too! But that's not the same as in the US. They don't sell drugs in the stores, so dealers don't have to compete with stores. Here they have to.

How about Robin Williams?

"These are people who are so stoned they can eat kitty litter and go, 'That's real crunchy...' "
"They've got this idea that, 'Yeah! I can drive. I got it together, dude, I'm okay. If I can just find my feet, I can drive!' "
"You're inside, rehearsing what you're gonna say. 'What seems to be the problem, officer? What seems to be the problem, officer? What seems to be the problem?' You open the window...POOF...out comes a wall of smoke, hits him in the face. He's going, 'I'm hungry...I don't know why.' You've rehearsed your line, 'What seems to be the problem, officer?' You look at him and go, 'gabbachupababubbifa?' "

I'm not certain (I don't smoke), but I think it is $5/gram here.
