Only just saw that... send them to New Zealand instead images/smilies/biggrin.gif

P.S. Not all of Australia was settled by convicts... Adelaide was a completely convict free settlemen. Having said that, they are more wierd than everyone else.

Stanton Samenow (worked as a forensic Psychologist for 30 years) wrote a book called Inside the Criminal Mind, where he talks about criminals having a different mindset from the get-go as compared to a responsible citizen. He also questions the theory of environmental influences such as a rough neighborhood or abusive parents breeding the criminal element. Basically saying that no amount of rehabilitation will work with habitual / career criminals. Some criminals show signs of sociopathic behavior at an early age.
It is true that some people may not have had the violent tendencies without effective negative influence (See Edmund Kemper), but who's to say.
If this is true then some folks are just born bad / evil and they should be put down.

I remember a story of a rapist that went to jail for a number of years and was deamed fit for society and released. Less than a week into his parole he attacked a female off duty prison guard and raped herand killed her, biting off her nipple in the process.

Born evil? I think so.
