Default Obama running for president

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6349081.stm

I still don't know too much about him, but he's got charisma that's for sure. he can't possibly be worse than Hillary, so I hope he wins the Democratic primary. This next race should be very interesting to say the least.

I may vote for him though I can not confirm anything at the moment.

with the way things look right now, so long as clinton doesn't win the primary, I don't think I'll be too disappointed with whoever wins, although I could stand to know more than I do about each.

I doubt i'll vote republican or democrat. I really don't have any passionate feelings one way or the other, except for not wanting Hillary in office. *shudder*

*Edit*

Regarding Obama. I think the fact that he's new has both pros and cons. A lot of the other candidates are going to have the "war vote" haunting them. Obama wasn't around for that, Lucky for him.

There was a news story on our news about him entering the presidental race but they didn't actually say why he's supposed to be so good/better/different from the competition

Now the question is, will he stick with his socialist / liberal ideals, or will he go mainstream? As much as I disagree with liberals, I admire the ones who stick with their principles, no matter how wrong I think it is for our country. Emphasis on I.

If I could foresee the future, it would be Clinton vs. Gilluiani (sp).

The Australian PM had some things to say about Obama (And the democrats)

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/02/...ent/index.html

Quote:
Australia's conservative Prime Minister John Howard said Sunday that victory for Democratic Sen. Barack Obama and his party in next year's presidential election would be a boon for terrorists.

"If I were running al Qaeda in Iraq, I would put a circle around March 2008, and pray, as many times as possible, for a victory not only for Obama, but also for the Democrats," Howard said, speaking on "Sunday," a TV show on Australia's Nine Network.

It's far to early to tell. This is one of the earliest primary seasons in US history and to be honest I am not looking forward to it. It has been nothing but politics for the last 6 years and I am getting burned out. I just don't give a shit anymore. No matter who is elected he will fuck it up. If it's Hillary she will certainly fuck it up beyond all possible comprehension.

Might as well bend over and take it, all you are voting on at this point is what kind of lube you like - if we are lucky enough to get that.

Obama for president!

But anyways, why do so many people seem to dislike Hillary? I haven't really got an impression of her at all

Fact: The GOP will not allow a woman or an African American become precedent. Short of assassination, the GOP will stop at nothing until they are defeated.

My feelings exactly, I'm so tired of this shit. You know it was after 9/11 that I started getting into politics. In the six years or so since then I've come to regard politics as a necessary evil. Every time time elction time comes, it's always the same dragged-out regurgitated 'he said-she said' slander war bullshit. And as always only the extremists on either end get sensationalistic news coverage. All politics are starting to look the same to me frankly. Damn 9/11 forever!

You think? Bush has put both women and other minorities in pretty high positions. And his father nominated an african-american for the supreme court.

just a Chappelle joke here, "If I become the first Black President I would be very careful, my vice president would be Mexican. So you can shoot me now, but you'll just open up our borders. Right Gonzales?" Gonzales, "Si, si! Eileen can stay!" images/smilies/lol.gif

as for 08, I'm so sure right now. Clinton and Obama are my top two choices, I am leaning towards Obama. We'll see...
