I was defending cvg's comment, which was made before gtrietsc's comment about hispanics.

question, unrelated to the topic. If someone with insurance is hit by someone without insurance, that persons company won't pay a penny? What exactly is the reasoning for that?

If you have uninsured motorists coverage your company will eventually pay, but it's a battle. Basically they procrastinate and stomp about trying to get someone else to pay it, but in the end you get your money, unless it explicitly says they won't, in which case you don't have uninsured motorists insurance in the first place and you should have got that.

When you are hit by an uninsured motorist, you have two choices:

- Pay your deductible($$), get repairs, and wait for your rate to go up when your policy renews ($$)

- Pay for all repairs out of pocket($$$), so your insurance costs dont go up.

So, either way, you are screwed.

And to further clarify my earlier comment - when you get rear-ended, and you look in the rear view mirror and its a Hispanic person driving a POS, your first, and NATURAL reaction, is "oh crap. I bet they dont have insurance..." and you are usually right.

so, back on the topic at hand, I was watching today's news coverage and what's with the flags of other countries again at today's protests??? If you want to be a citizen of my country, the last thing you would want to do is wave the flag of the country, that you thought sucked enough to risk your life leaving...

Today's protests have done nothing to support their cause, as John Q. Taxpayer isn't going to suddenly let 11 million people start drawing from our public services because it took a little longer to get a burger today. I know for a fact, that if the Representatives of my district vote for allowing these 11 million people to jump ahead of others who have been waiting for years, they will NOT receive my votes in November.

^I agree about the flag thing. I saw a bunch of signs that said "Today we march, tomorrow we vote"....

Couple on things i've been thinking of.

1. Instead of boycotting (and trying to hurt the country). Why not encourage people to buy? Then say, look at home much we helped the economy.

2. If everyone was legalized, then wouldn't companies have to pay them better wages (minimum wage at least...no longer "cheap" labor) and wouldn't they have an opportunity to take better jobs?

Liberals need victims.

How about we send them all back and blacklist them? sounds good to me. Then speed up the process for those who are doing things the legit way.

Thier case is really bullshit, it's tantamount to stealing something, having it for a long time and then claming rightful ownership.

They're essentially citizenship-squatting. Steal it for long enough, and that makes it yours.
