Bore 1 Rail down to France, Bore 2 a road tunnel only open to emergency and maintenance vehicles and Bore 3 up traffic from France rail. There was an attempt to go from London to New York by land sponsored by Ford when they tried to cross the Baring Sea when it was frozen in a special one off vehicle, unfortunately the attempt failed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Channel_Tunnel Last edited by Cobol74; April 19th, 2007 at 09:59 PM.. |

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | It would make sense if there would not be any technological progress in the world but fact is that world is changing fast and that tunnel with its natural gas pipe could end up obsolete far sooner than they expect. |

Rep Power: 9 ![]() | I like the idea of it, but how much demand is there for a tunnel from a non-populous part of Russia to a non-populous part of the US?
