Just bought this baby, spotted it on autotrader last night. Decided I needed something which could serve as a daily driver and an interesting side project.
Car has 77,000 miles which is quite low for the age of the car. She runs fine engine is sweet as a nut, slight knocking noise from the rear right suspension. But it doesn't appear to be a serious thing, I'll get onto that pretty quick. Car has no head Stereo head unit which is a bit annoying, seems the previous owner wanted to keep the radio, but that's no biggie, I convinced the dealer to throw in a head unit to seal the deal. Also the door handles are body coloured and have faded slightly from red to pink, might change for black ones. I collect it tomorrow. Dealer also had a GT-Four on the court but it had been modified quite a lot, so I decided to stay away from that one. Here's some pics of it from the forecourt. ![]() ![]()

2.0 DOHC 16-Valve. Good for 160bhp standard.
Just heard from the mechanic, it was a suspension bush spring that was the cause of said knocking noise and he's replaced it, good that's one less thing I have to worry about now.

Oh very nice, that's the 3S-GE. I'd almost forgotten that those outside the US aren't saddled with the 135 HP 5S-FE from the Camry in their Celicas and MR2s. You're going to enjoy that engine, and the rest of the car too.

Yeah, can't wait til it arrives tomorrow. I'll think I'll take it for a good run after I pick it up, drive it hard, shake off the cobwebs it gathered while sitting unloved on the dealer's forecourt.

Usually a 1993 Celica in the States has about 250k miles. Nice find!

An AA check has revealed the car has been in a rear end shunt , I decided not to take it on.
![]() Can a mod please close this topic, it's irrelevant now.
