I was actually looking into going GT for my S4 but I decided to change up projects and go with a LSX swapped RX7. Maybe I will visit the S4 again someday. I would absolutely love a GT2560R powered S4 for a DD.

Dang, guess I missed a few posts. Looks like you guys will be ones to count if I have any questions and if audizine fails me. BTW my account on there is Aero503 but I rarely ever post, mainly just there for the search button.
I'll honestly probably not chip it just because of the paranoia and I would like to keep the car mostly as is, at least till I pay it off. If there was a chip that just reduced shift time I'd get that. Not to mention I really don't hammer on it much at all and keep it out of boost on my daily driving. I've read all about giving my car time to cool before shutting it off and not getting into boost until oil is at like 175. I've been thinking about getting one of the replacement thermo switches so the after run system will kick in at a slightly lower temp but the discussion on them seems to be 50/50 it whether its worth it. As for the trim, unless I can get ahold of a brushed aluminum set I probably wont touch it. One thing I want to do is what this guy started to do; http://audizine.com/forum/showthread...paddle+shifter fit M3 paddle shifters to the wheel. I find the buttons to be akward and a little too far out of reach. The shifter is fine to use but still kinda lame. Just got a glowshift boost gauge (ricey I know) and order a vent pod from one of the guys on AZ, should be here soon. I wanted an AWE one as the are the only one I really liked because it kept the stock looking vent but they are so much more money, and maybe still back ordered. But I'll be able to use the AWE install guide to hook it all up except that the glowshift has got two extra wires. There was someone on AZ that did it and posted on it what to do with them but I'll have to dig it up again.

I am personally a big fan of the Podi Stepper Gauge that mounts on the steering column. I never really dug the whole boost gauge in the center of the car in the vent. It looks clean and stuff but it doesn't seem efficient but I know it is a popular choice and there is nothing wrong with it. I see you live in Indiana. If you could find a semi local tuning shop that specialize in VAG cars you could get a custom tune running lower boost than most chips. So it will give you more power without putting all that added stress on turbos and clutch (trans in your case). There is a shop in St. Charles, IL called KometMotorsports that uses Optican tuning software for the 2.7T. Have not read much about that particular software but I never looked into much either. My passenger side turbo just started making some extra noise and I fear it is about to blow but I had planned on taking my car to them and getting a custom tune at 13-14 psi instead of the normal chips up to 17-18psi I believe. Militant-Grunt might be able to shed some more light on that subject for you. As for turbo care, definitely make sure you let it warm up before boosting and cool down before shutting her down. You could invest in a Turbo Timer if it is annoying to sit in your car an extra 30-60 seconds after you park. Anyways, good luck with her. I am sure you will learn a lot about this car through your ownership of it because it is one of those cars that forces you to learn as much as possible because there is always something. Whether it be a CEL that came on, or a funny noise, or other peculiar crap, but overall it is a great car that gets moody every so often. You can count on that. And when it get's moody it likes to take it out on your wallet.

Update:
Not too much happen, just enjoying it as is. Did get my GlowShift Boost Gauge installed though. But radio is in safe mode and my code doesn't work to unlock it. Ordered the "keys" to pull the radio that way I can get the serial off it so that I have have someone on another forum look up my code (cheaper than stealer-ship). Plus I will need to pull it if I decide to get a nav unit. ![]() ![]() Doesn't look too out of place imho. Plus the red on the gauge matches the rest of the dash and cluster pretty well. The vent piece its in was made by a guy on audizine.

^I'm looking at getting the AWE one but they are pricey
It's nice anyway I don't understand why Audi doesn't offer a boost gauge for their boosted cars....

Yeah they are, but they are super sexy, and probably still super back ordered. It turns out my car once had an AWE gauge in it because the hoses and wires were still there. That actually saved me some trouble. This guage was only about $35 and I paid $30 for the vent.

Yeah, don't we all...
I'll actually be ordering a few minor things from them this week. Probably just TBB and I'm gonna grab their pressure tester for the hell of it. Also stealth bulbs, yellow tint for my fogs, and possibly roof rack and/or tint soon.

^You know if they got blue tint like that? I got some blue light bulbs for them but they turned out to be fake HID style white with blueish tints. While it looks nice I just want like deep blue doesn't need to be bright at all since they are fogs. I know I'm a ricer

I put Osram Cool Blues in. They do have blue tint, but the gas inside also contains a higher percentage of Xenon than normal bulbs so it burns brighter too (but not so bright - hot - as to melt the whole thing).

Yeah they have blue. Here's something from where I ended ordering mine (just last night). I assume it will change the light out put of it. This is by far the cheapest place. Other wise I'd try here. http://www.decalstyling.com/
Oh yeah. Anyone got any audi dealer friends that want to look up a radio code for me to get mine out of safe mode lol.

My old 1990 Lexus had yellow fogs stock and I loved them and missed them. Also there is nothing better when it is night time and snowing outside. I do need to adjust them or something though because when I'm in my car and they are on I can't actually tell they are on because they are aimed so low lol.

I don't understand why they make white fogs, yellow is actually useful in a fog, white not so much. Looks good dude, you should do clear corner mod for a cleaner look

I've got clear corners... the bulbs are silver except when lit up they are amber, so I don't get in trouble with the law.

Oh I see on your gen it's different. Stealth lights on my gen is usually referred to painting the rear bulbs silver so that the rear lights don't have that orange peaking through. For the front you actually have to take the headlight apart and remove the little orange plastic thing :'(

Yeah on mine you have to break the plastic amber pieces out. Don't have to take the headlight unit apart just drill a couple small holes to hit the tabs that hold the amber pieces in place then break them and pull it out.
