Default 94' Z28 DD/Project

I had posted both my cars in a thread awhile ago. but i feel tha tthe time has come to dedicate a thread to my Camaro.

Its a stock 1994 Z28 with 147k miles. it has its all original LT1 which is tied to the 6 speed T56. its all stock minus the flowmaster exhaust that the owner i purchased it off of put on the car. I havent done to much to the car other then repair some minor stuff. like replace the window switch, make a new shifter stick and knob, cleaned it up real good. and yesterday. finally had the chance to replace the clutch! it was slipping in nearly all gears and before it damaged the engine or transmission i replaced it.

Just afew shots of the car. and recent clutch work
when i first got the car

Thats a dirty Tranny

and heres just a sneak peak at my first real mod for this car
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v393/SoxXpupPeT/Z28/Img_7348.jpg

images/smilies/tongue.gif it wont be until the summer months when i start doing any power performance mods. I plan on starting off with a nice True Duel 2.5" exhaust with Long Tubes. and then the skys the limit after that

Actually I like the flamed stripes. It is not something I see everyday.

What kind of power numbers are you aiming for? If you are going moderate, I'd advise to start saving for a rear diff. I like the stying of those years but I prefer the LS1 engine.

Very good looking car anyway. I've always been a fan of F-body's but never owned one images/smilies/sad.gif or driven one for a long time images/smilies/sad.gif.

the stripes are vinyl so they should just peel off with alittle heat so itll be all white. im not worried to much about looks even tho in another week or so imma be painting the area in front of the head light black. it loosk alot better like that i think.

Yeah 350 to 400 is a nice good amount of horsepower for a daily driver F-Body.

Camaro has a new look!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v393/SoxXpupPeT/Z28/Img_7465.jpg

it looks so much better then what it looked like before. much sharper. i tryed peeling the vinyl off. it went well for an inch but then it was tough to get off. ill have to one day warm up the heat gun and take her off.

also got some new rear brakes too

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v393/SoxXpupPeT/Z28/Img_7456.jpg

EBC sports. there real nice and from what i can gather have taken alot of brake wobble out of the rear. the fronts still messed up but thats what these are going to be for!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v393/SoxXpupPeT/Z28/Img_7460.jpg

they go on once i can find 17" rims! images/smilies/censored.gif and make the adapter plate whichll be sometime this week. ill post the whole build when it gets done

thanks. the paint is holding up good so im happy lol. the stripes imma keep pon it for awhile. until i get everything ready for the blue ones i plan on putting on hehe.

But! today was the day that i had time to fabricate the brackets i needed for my C5 brake conversion. thank god for autocad, and a CNC plasma cutter table. also finally decided to get rid of my altoids intake images/smilies/sad.gif kinda miss it..

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v393/SoxXpupPeT/Img_7510.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v393/SoxXpupPeT/Img_7513.jpg

no more altoids images/smilies/cry.gif

Cutting out the first of many templates to base my slight changes off of. if it wasnt for this machine it woulda taken me a week to fine tune everything. it took me about an hour to make 5 adjustments to perfect its lay out.

i also machined the spacers on the lathe. it didnt take long and the fit is perfect. i just have to clean off the brackets of the slight rust and weld it all together and then finally put them on my car images/smilies/wicked.gif

Nice early 4th gen man. I bet it's a lot of fun to drive with that 6 speed. Heh, those CNC plasma cutters are amazing. I played with a similar set up when I was in votech; we used to make 'bat-erangs' images/smilies/rolleyes.gif.

I've spray painted cars without much prep (other than a thorough wash/degreasing), and had it last a year or so. Do the proper prep work like SoxXpupPeT and maybe lay some clear over it too, it may outlast your stock paint. Not that outlasting '80s GM paint is a tall order images/smilies/lol.gif.

Thanks and the car is tons-o-fun to drive. itll be even more fun after i have good breaks and tires and the car goes straight lol. my passenger side wheel bearing is shot and the cars pulling to that side bad.

the only car that i know of from GM thats from the 80's, and has good paint is my 82 impala. paint looks new when cleaned. and worst is our old 87' lesabre...... the entire cars now rust instead of blue images/smilies/lol.gif

if i was to do it again i would get a set of brackets only because the ones i did ones slightly farther out then the other. like 1/32" of an inch but that is enough for me to go mad.but today was a good day. im real glad i finally got them on along with my new rims/tires. ill post a good profile pic tomorrow when i attempt to install my next project
