Default '97 VW Mk3 Golf VR6

Before I start, I am only 16 years old, and before I continue, yes I can drive this legally It is what the title says, and it's quite rare to find one in this kind of spec and condition! I've had it for just over two months after nagging for one since February - my dad isn't a fan of me getting a job and thus, is my main source of money!

Was set to get his Audi A3 (which is nothing to sneeze at by any means) but he traded it in for an auto BMW 120i... Not long after, we stumbled upon this gem by pure chance on Carsales and bought it within a week! It is a post-95 model which equals colour coded bumpers and oval indicators amongst other small things, with factory leather seats, original black paint and a very low for its age 95,000kms.

Mostly stock, it only has Eibach springs/Koni shocks, a smallish exhaust system, a panel filter in the stock airbox (yay?) and a fairly decent stereo which we put in after we bought it. Enough talk, picture time

(favourite shot)

And just yesterday the new plates arrived, as demonstrated in this shocking mobile phone photo with the car quite filthy..

Contrary to popular belief there is no hinting at sexual innuendo in the plates, moreso a German spoken translation of VR6; disabled by the six character limit the goverment has set upon us.. Comments, criticism and general ideas are much welcome!

You need to enhance the best thing about the VR6 VW's. Put in a straight through exhaust.

Nice car. I always liked the VR6s, even though they are thirsty.

Suggestion: get front indicators with white/transparent covers. Yellow indicators don't look good on any car.

Oh, and: Nice plate, I wouldn't have noticed the meaning without your explanation.

They will be bought soon, along with the European VR6 lip! For some reason, the MkIII GTI's weren't sold here, and our VR6's got the GTI front lips instead

simply to keep the dirt out, nothing beats a stock panelfilter!

only thing you have to do now, is find yourself an R32 head, 24 valves FTW

I actually think the yellow ones look better on my BMW, maybe on a white, grey, blue or black car they may not.

Seriously nice wheels though. Don't bin it!

That is absolutely brilliant. Just a few weeks ago I was contemplating a VR6 as my first car, if I could afford one. I think I even saw that one on carsales. Looks great in black.

I like it too because the sort of people who put big exhausts on pensioners Pulsars will never touch one of those. Its not vulgar enough. Jealous.

Your dad doesn't like the idea of you getting a job? You're going to run him dry! Lucky bastard though, great first car (just don't knock it into anything!). My first car was a Nissan Bluebird...

If you ever want to sell those wheels
