Very nice Sierra you have there. Looks like she has a lot of potential. You need to make your engine eventually look like this though (minus all the rusty bits):

My engine bay will never look anything like that. If anything I should make it look like this:

Props for finding a good pic of an actual XR8, they are quite rare. But anyways, I would never put a V8 under the hood, especially not an american one, since this is a UK-Ford. If I could put any engine with a V-formation in, it would be one of these:

Just because it says COSWORTH on the intake manifold

The Boss 9 engine I posted would probably take up the entire passenger compartment of your car

I wouldn't be so sure, the Sierra has quite a capacious engine bay. The picture public posted is a Sierra with a Ford 302, how much bigger is the engine you posted dimension-wise?

302 is 29" long, 24.5" wide and 28.5" tall, the Boss 9 is 34"x30"x30". Those are without anything bolted on. The 4.6 is even bigger at 36"x36"x44".

Aah, the good old Scorpio Cosworth engine! Too bad they were all made with an automatic gearbox behind them.

Don't quote me on this, but I read on PassionFord some time ago that 12 customer Mk.1 Granada Scorpio Cosworths were fitted with Mt-75's from the factory Anyway, just get a 12V Cologne mt-75 gearbox, and it will bolt straight on the 24 engine

Apparently youtube screwed up the quality Oh well. Everytime I cut the video, I go screw around with the ignition settings, the only time I touch the throttle is at the final startup, to keep it running. Im going to buy a new(used) distributor cap a,d refit some old plug wires tomorrow, because at the final startup, it sounded like it was running on 3 /misfiring..
Do you have a way of checking your fuel pressure? When was the last time you changed the fuel filter?

Haven't changed the fuel filter, but the car was working fine before with the old one, so I doubt it's to blame. Anyway, after poking around on Finnish Ford forums, I have a pretty good quess about what is wrong with the car. I jsut need to get my dad & brother to push it into the garage some day (before snowfall in any case) So I can make it run properly. Worst case scenario is that the Airflow meter is fucked, best case scenario is that there is something wrong with the distributor. Hell, the cam might even still be timed incorrectly aswell..

But trust me, I will get it sorted.

Yeah, there have been a few conversions over the years. I think you need a extra chip to fool the ECU though, since it needs signals from the gearbox.

You only need the extra chip for the BOB engine, not the BOA.

Alright, I tore the front end of the car down to make sure that the timing is ABSOLUTELY correct. Whatever I do, I can't get the cam & crank TDC marks to line up 100% perfectly. When I put the crank at TDC, the cam is about half a tooth clockwise from the TDC.. So, is this timed correctly? (Looking it you adaptech )

Beware big pics.

Answer as quickly as you can, since it's going to be shit weather tomorrow, I'd like to get the car finished today..

Basically you have to move the cambelt one tooth on the cam-pulley.

Yeah, I tried starting it, and it was even worse than before. atleast I now know that after moving the cam one tooth, the engine will surely be timed correctly? After that Im going to check the MAF and the ignition components..
