My brother's Suzuki Swift Sport

Lightened flywheel
17" Suzuki Sport rims and semi slicks
Front strut tower brace





My impression;

Positive
Handles well
Steering is precise
Brakes are good
Cheap and practical
Short throw g'box

Negative
Unusual seating position (tall car)
Harsh ride
Brakes very sensitive
Needs more power
Needs another gear

So he's done some gymkhana and a couple of rallies. In the gymkhana, these are some cars he beat...













In the rally he's also beaten a Cayman S and a Gallardo Spider. Won his class, first time 20/40 (no mods), second time 15/45 overall.

Not bad for 123hp.

This is one thats in a car park, but actually its more like a go-kart track. This is the results page.

And the other one is held in a big car park and just runs round cones (not as fun), they don't seem to have a website.

One of my favorite cars in GT4 and in real life. This car has all the elements I like in a car! And those wheels are gorgeous.

In GT4 its a prototype with 250hp or something! The real life car is much more tame.

There isn't much to see by way of photos but if he continues to do the rallies I'll try to convince him to take pics and vids and keep you updated.

It seems like the Swift is better than a lot of its competition while the US Suzuki SX4 is at best on par with its rivals. If I'm not mistaken, they very similar in terms of size and relative price. Why not sell the Swift here and only sell the SX4 "crossover" version so there is no overlap?

It seems that Suzuki has quite a few new products in the pipeline and with fuel prices the way they are perhaps we will get the Swift in time. I like it and this particular example kicks ass!!!!

It's just that I love driving my car, and the Swift is pretty much a newer, improved, japanese version of it.

I really like the "new" Swift. To me, it's really the Mini (as compared to the much larger and porkier Mini of today).
