Rear wing delete makes for a nice look.

0this is my 1st post on these forums so i figured since its a TopGear site post some pics of the car. Well i live in Texas and have a 2004 Evolution 8 RS. here is everything it has on it...

Agreed, it does make the car look a lot better.
Overall, I like everything but the badge delete and the colour. That red just looks flat and dull, might be the pictures though, dunno. Also, I think the Mitsubishi 3-diamond badge is a nice looking badge. Oh, and those clear taillights look a bit stupid.

0well....lets answer all the questions here.
it doest have a rear wing because it is an RS. and the RS only came in 2 colors Red and White. Also for those not familiar with the RS, the RS Edition does not come with power windows, locks, or mirrors, an audio system, map lamps or an anti-lock braking system, rear wing, sound deadening, center arm rest, and some small other stuff. It is the stripped out "race" version. thus weighs around 90lbs or 40kg less than the standard model. also only 400 red RS's were shipped the US market.
and the tail lights are from the factory in the US...and everyone thinks the ugly...i just find it hard to spend money on looks over performance...but i will get a set of JDM or Euro tail lights soon.
as for the Mitsu emblem...i got a new bumper and haven't put it back on yet.
and as for the FP Green...i hit 30psi around 3900rpm.

Have you spent much time in Tyler Tx, cause I swear I have seen your car before. Or maybe it is just an identical Red Rs with a decently sized front mount. Also what track is that?

Im surprised you would give all those things up for the RS version, because basically, 40kg is very little considering everything put in for a more comfortable drive got taken out of the car. You use it only as a track car ?

0no i drive it daily and love it. its the raw sense of driving a car...i duno i just like it. it feels like my own GT3RS or Ferrari F40. just me, the car, the road. (watch the top gear show where Clarkson drives the Ferrari F40) if i wanted luxury i wouldt buy a Evolution...have it all or none. If i wanted luxury id get a Mercedes or BMW.
and the 40kg does help the car...it is faster 0-100kph, track times, etc. plus its a rare car...like i said only 400 red RS's were produced in 2004 for the US.
