Small update time.
So I made my rear windows out of plexi:
Using these:
And soaped water (for cooling, while cutting) NOT icetea![]()
Finished the wheel spacer to. It needed drilling (for the screws):
New brakepipes:
Thats it for now![]()
awesome
that's a huge ass spacer you've put under your steeringwheel. it won't be to high now?
and tnx for showing how to cut that plexi, i've tried it once with the same tool u used, but with a metalcutting disc bolted, didn't work to well, also tried with a jumpingsaw (if that's what it's called), neither any luck
next time i'll try your way, and good idea about the soapwather
^ Nah the spacer is just fineThe seat is moved back to, so thats why I need the spacer.
Yeah cuting plexi is real hard. I used to suck with it a lot. This cutting disc is the best. And you need to fasten the plexi realy well (resonance can break it to). Good luck with it next time
. Oh, and no jumpingsaw ( I dunno either whats it called, but I know what U mean), It tears the plexi to much.
A Lada! Cool. 8) It's exclusive so it's cool.![]()
I bet the girls would love to sit in that hotrod.![]()
A friend of my has an Opel (Vauxhall) Vectra A and put a V6 engine in it. It is as fast as the R32 and the M-series when it comes to acceleration.![]()
When you are done you have to challenge some other cars, they would love that: Beaten by a Lada.![]()
this is all id seen of lada previously
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3xoRQd0dLk&search=lada

Than check this out.
The music is quite catchy.
Allrght update time.
Plexi is inside:
Only silicon used, i hope it will be enough.
I saw a forum, where a guy started to outgrave the silencing tar (I dunno if this word is correct, I mean the sticky noise absorbing "thing"), and took out ~10 kgs from his car. So i was like, im gonna do that to
.
So here is the result, with primer:
mmm niceAnd I took out 8 kg-s.
Tools used:
I also cuted out the rear doors inside:
Also i made a shape for the new alu carpet:
And the good old vacum cleaner (dont ask why is it here![]()
)
Is it cool or what? 8)
Thats it for now, will update soon.
The whole car (including the car, "new" chassis, engine, suspension, lsd, so everything) is gonna be around ~ 2500-3000 euro, and it will be ready to drift. It would be much more expensive if someboy else would do it..
. Its not cheap, I wanted E30 BMW first, but the parts are so expensive for that
.
^ Today it got a red color.
That is not stock, and you have to have "SOME" skill to do that - brilliant vid though. Catchy tune too.Originally Posted by mancs

Phew, when I take a look into the car it seems like there's still pretty much work to do, but it really looks good so far.
Hehe. Its made to race, not rice
.
Allright. So I started fitting the LSD. Its not so easy. You know, for an old car, there are no plug & play (aka: bolt-on) mods. So you always have to grind, etc. Well the LSD didnt fit in the old diff, so it was quite a nigglering job, but its done.
First, i needed to take of the drumbrakes:
Driveshaft:
Old diff:
I realised, that there is no pic of my LSD, so sorry
.
Not my pic, but its the same:
FItted:
I painted the drumbrakes backplate:
The paint exploded btw, this is how it looks now in my garage:
Cool eh?My precious little vacuumcleaner
![]()
Rest of the brake:
The seat and the alu"carpet" is finaly fitted:
The old spring needs to go..:
Torqwrench, needed to torq down the diff:
My favorite tool:
Started to assamble the water circuit, batterytray must go (BIG carbs need the space):
And I bought a rear door for my sisters Corsa, cos that is a piece of rust...
Will need to paint it red.
Well thats it. I'm waiting for the carbs right now.
