| Well, motor mounts and new parts are in! Took almost two hours to get them in...and they are never coming out! I should have kept the old mounts and taken a picture, they were completely destroyed.![]() New higher amperage alternator, serpentine, and distributor cap & rotor. ![]() It has a "built to last" Duralast alternator in it...yeah right. Damn thing sucked the life out of the battery after a short time. And the rotor cap well, tips on the current cap are pretty warn, and I'll be switching to a complete MSD distrib/ignition soon. And tommorow I scheduled to go out to an exhaust shop to have new mufflers in and new piping. Maybe I'll have to up a video of it . And tommorow my OTHER foglight comes in ![]()

| Got exhaust done! H pipe got welded...old mufflers torched off, Flowmaster 40 series mufflers now, and some piping repleaced. Sounds a lot more tamed I would say . The last exhaust leaked and had a lot of wasted back pressure.![]() Yeah the rear end is rusty, it's getting taken out and rebuilt this winter ![]() I made a video of the old sound and the new sound, just gotta up it. Tommorow is new tires, in time for the track this weekend ![]()

Car: Too many Rep Power: 0 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | any explination as to why WRX guys and 5.0 guys seem to go together? My friend with a prestine 5.0 talks on ends about how he loves WRXs |

| I really have no idea! I got my STI, then moved here and got into working with my cousin on his 5.0, and got hooked and bought one8). I really thought I was going to get labeled as two-faced, being that the cars are complete opposites of eachother. But it seems to work well.

| Well...thought I was just going to test & tune, but ended up getting to the semi-finals in trophy class ![]() Lost to my cousin's dad in his '67 GTO. I went faster than my expectations! And he forgot to launch in the right gear! Left lane: ![]() Trapped over 100mph for the first time. Man is it a learning experience going from my STI to this on the track. The STI is planted down the track, and this baby is pretty loose 3/4 down if you move the wheel much. But it's fun being able to put some slicks on it, do some burnouts, getting to learn a RWD car. Bummed thing is that I materialized a small water pump leak, and the battery is drained or the new alternator is bad. Gonna have to wait and take it down to the shop and test them. And forgot my camera battery in the charger at home ![]()

I'd rather see someone become a bracket racer than a heads-up guy. Check the voltage regulator, they will run down the battery if they are bad. On the water pump, I'll bet it's coming out of the weep hole on the front. If it is, it's time for a new one.

Went ahead and ordered a new water pump, 180* thermostat and tach. I think the thermostat might not be opening up untill close to 200, though I've been reading that a lot of 'Stang owners are saying that warmer is better. Just been getting a bit hot lately, even before the water pump leak was discovered. And hopefully the tach will give me a littler more accurate read in the higher R's, seems that the stock tach isn't keeping up.

I couldn't beat the price, free. It had been mostly stripped, but I've got quite a few parts to get it back together...

. Sure can't beat free, is the body cancer-free? That was almost the only reason I got this one, a little bit around the fenders but not as bad as I was expecting.
