Last year I bought a 97 Miata from my parents. I picked it up as an autocross STS2 class and 3rd car for me and my wife. It only had 42,000 miles when I bought it.
Right after getting it. ![]() ![]() So far my mods are front and rear Flyin Miata sway bars, Flyin Miata exhaust, Koni shocks, FM springs, rear upper shock mounts, and new bushings. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

So is that an autocross on a road course? If so which track and which organization. Finally what tire are you running. I am looking for some new street tire class tires (180 treadwear+) and I am curious what you are running/what your opinions are.

Right now I'm running Falken Azenis RT-615's but I've heard the the Bridgestone Potenza RE-01's are better. The Falken's have a couple advantages though, you can't get the Potenza's in a 14 inch size and they are cheaper than the Potenza's. Overall I like the Falken's, they stick pretty good as long as you don't overheat them (I spray them off between runs), I've got almost 10,000 miles on them and they still look pretty good, if I get 15,000 out of them I'll be happy.

One thing I would recommend is ordering the 'Puredrive' suspension from P5. Ill be swapping my Spax for them when I get back from Germany. I hear good things about the Azenis, what are they like in the wet? Im toying with Hankook RS2s or Toyo R888s for my next set after experiencing the grip they give recently at Croft, though Im going to try some Dunlop Formula Rs first.
Either way, great to see you using the car properly!
