So yeah, I crashed the ol' Carisma, due to lack of ABS for the most part, the other bit was my fault...
Not worth fixing it, I just spent 1000 euro on it, would need another grand to fix the damage just to sell it for less than 2 after...But since I need wheels to go to Uni, I had to quickly get some credit and buy something. I actually think I found a good one here, definitely quieter and smoother than the Carisma, the interior is much nicer, actually has some colour to it, as opposed to the old one which was coloured in every colour of the depressed rainbow. Grey, grey, grey and grey. The requisites were ABS, airbags, aircon, saloon, 120-ish horsepower (or about 100 per tonne) and not a lemon. The engine's in top shape, it pulls a lot better than the old one, even though they're just about identical on paper, the gearbox is smooth and the lever precise and has a nice feel to it, the clutch is very sharp, but grabs right at the top, I'll see if I can get that adjusted to somewhere in the middle. It was smoked in, it reaked on day one, but I've been busy cleaning it, spraying with those odour remover things and airing it as often as I can, so it's almost gone now. Should completely disappear in a few days/weeks.There are a few things to fix, like new tyres, the entire pulley/belt/tensioner assembly needs replacing, the steering wheel is rotated to the right a bit (although the steering itself is spot on, no veering to either side, neither at speed, accelerating nor braking, the front and rear bumpers are dented, would need sanding down and respraying, but that won't be too expensive. Once that's fixed and it also has a thorough check up and oil/filter change, it'll be as good as new. Quote:

Nice car, but I'd add "wash the engine bay" to the fix list.

Nice! Congrats.
The interior looks fine with the wood trim, and i've always loved the red gauges and lights in audis. Definately better than the carisma

Oh, I got this whole bucket of magnificence for €2300. Even if I spend another grand getting it fixed up, it'll be a good deal.

W00t another Audi owner even if I'm bored of mine
I suggest a Stage 1 tune from APR if you don't want to go too far with power

Nice Audi! Just needs the interior stripped and Recaros and a roll cage! Haha, looks clean!

Looks really nice! I am impressed by the interior and this particular generation of the A4 is one of my favorite Audis.
Now you need to change your avatar.

Those alloys are really odd. I've seen them try to make hub caps look like alloys, but never alloys to look like hub caps!
![]() Overall pretty good though. Audi A4s are nice. |

I love that body style A4, guess you'll have to change the Mitsubishi logo for the old 4 rings.

Definitely an improvement over the Carisma
![]() I love the styling of these A4 and the interior is not bad either ^^ And you got all of this for only 2300euros? Now that's a good deal!

Nice car you've got yourself.
I agree that the engine bay needs a clean up and those rims need to go. I've always loved Audi interiors. BMW's are to boring and Mercedes' look cheap.
