Well, they're no more than 50 euro each and not really that bad, I'll get a real quote tomorrow and probably just buy them there and then. I'll take the car to the shop first to see what exactly needs replacing, there was talk of some rubber as well.

Quote:
Initial cost: €2300
AC compressor: €160
New trim: €40
Body shop: €300
Service: €500
Wheel alignment: €30
Replacement steering end-piece: €30

WIP total: €3360

That grey looks really sharp, I like it, and the interior looks great for the age of it (and it matches mine, except not leather images/smilies/tongue.gif). But those wheels look so tiny!

And, yes... lets drag!

There, final piece of maintanence scheduled for tomorrow, getting the rear shock absorbers replaced at 8 am, before going to the photoshoot with the redhead. Mmmm...

I hope nothing else creeps up... The only thing that might now is the catalytic converter failing at the MOT at the end of the month. Vee shell zee.

A3 comes in 1.8 N/A, 2.0 N/A, 1.8T and 2.0T and lots of other engines available.

And it doesn't make sense for IceBone to chip his car, since its a N/A model.

*nod* the 1.8 N/A engine feels rather asthmatic. But then again, it's the same with a C180K and BMW 320i.

Doesn't feel that asthmatic to me. Reaches 100 km/h in well under 10 seconds and I've had it at 210 km/h. images/smilies/blink.gif Feels a lot like Jezza described the 5 series diesel. Not electric, but relentless.

US line up is quite a bit simpler. 2.0T and 3.2 that is it. The Turbos are FWD only.

Didn't realize it when I posted, US never got a 1.8 N/A AFAIK.

Did you measure it with anything or is it just an ass dyno? I've used dynolicious on my car and it claimed around 10secs doing it with a stop watch I timed myself around 8.5 or so. AFAIK the 1.8T 6spd B6 A4 does 0-60 in around 8 seconds as well (mine's a 5spd tip). If your car actually does make it to 100 in under 10 it might not be stock images/smilies/tongue.gif

210kph sounds about right for an 1.8 engine. You must have been flooring that thing images/smilies/tongue.gif

I remember doing 180kph in my 1.3 Ford Bantam, fuck it was pretty scary.

Hm.. Quattro is available in the 2.0T as well. But like you said, the us variants are quite limited.

You can get both the TT and A3 with the 2.0T engine and Quattro drivetrain.

Pushrod straight six designed in 1965.

They did change the bore/stroke, head and added multiport injection though. About 200hp and 230 torques.
