Hmmm 1280kg isn't bad at all.
My Volvo is 1430kg and is rated 0-62mph - 9.2 sec, but I have a feeling it's a bit more than that. (Stupid auto gearbox!)

Just got the new headunit, the rear speakers still don't work and it's not getting any power with the ignition off, so it resets every time.
I have an appointment with an car-accoustics specialist at the end of the week, they told me that the rear speakers have their own amps and the signal needs to get to them via the cinch connectors, which the new headunit luckily has, but there are no cables. They said it will take about an hour to set it up. They'll also look at why it's not getting power. Otherwise, it looks and fits perfectly! Before: ![]() ![]() After: ![]()

The backlight kept cutting out, but the main reason was aesthetics.

Nothing major to update, but got it registered and insured in my name finally (the old one ran out) and got new plates, which any hitchhiker would love.
KK@CE-042 Not personalised, just luck of the draw.

Got the radio fixed, cost me 30 euro for an adapter for rear active speakers and 20 euro to get some power to it while the key's out of the ignition.
Pretty powerful stuff now. Beautifully optimised too, it's super sweet! |

Wood is good. It's much better than some stupid carbon fibre decal or fake brushed aluminium. I'd never ditch the wood in my car, neither should you. Be proud of the wood!

I loved the wood in my old Fiesta, it was wonderfully ridiculous and out of place in such a car

I personally prefer black plastic like in my car. Wood just doesn't work in a black interior and to me it looks cheap.

Yeah... that makes as much sense as a bunny with a pancake on its head.
No wonder all Aston Martins and Jaguars and Rollses have black plastic and not that pesky cheap wood inside. |
